Although I already knew everything, it's good to make sure I'm aware of every technique. Great guide. Curious to see if they're removing shatterskating with Lightfall
Very informative for those who wants to get into movement more. Would love to see you cover more advanced tech- maybe some of the routes you so cleanly displayed in the background too.

On bumping your head on ceilings - It's much easier/more effective to do on strafe jump, and even more so if using stompees Also not directly movement, but it's related to a movement ability - if you Shatterdive against a wall your descent will be mega slow, it's good for wall peeking or having a slow descent on the rare occasions you need to Good stuff Taco! :) Can't wait to see these guides when Strand is out. Grapple is gonna be a game changer.
Been using strafe jump / better control since Y1D1. I despite how slow triple jump is. Strafe also lets you completely cancel all horizontal movement and dodge shots in midair which is good for pve
@@tacofraud I've really loved your guides and found them super useful, thanks for making them! One thing I've been struggling with and was hoping to see covered here was the technique where you do a shatterskate, swap to arc, and then blink for extra distance - I've seen this, for example, in videos about skipping the tomb ship jumping section of King's Fall on hunter. These are super great, though, and I've been sending them to my clan. Thanks again!
There’s an alternation of ShatterSkate that you can hit on flat ground, not requiring the use of a ledge, called PrisSkate. (named after person who found it @PrisBtw) The inputs go Jump > Light Attack > Jump > Dive If you’re having trouble, the timing between the first jump and light attack has to be faster than every other window between inputs. The timings below were found with a macro, and not through video. Think of that what you will. If skeptical give the timings a 1-3ms +/- margin of error At 300fps~ average, you have a 50ms maximum window between inputs. For the jump to light attack you have a 30ms window at max. This leaves you with a 130ms maximum window to hit all inputs starting with the first jump.
Personally I use the arms that give DR since using stompees is overkill if you just wanna do it casually. Plus this works surprisingly well in a build. I have not had a reason to get off stasis other than let's blow some shit up with Gunslinger.
i do plan to make many videos with strand! for guides i am unsure on when they will come out but i know i will need at least a week to fully breakdown its movement, then i can do strand movement guides only for each class, hopefully all 3 within a week or two
Any reason why you did not point out Groundskating with hunter? Swap to sword, Jump, Light attack, Jump+shatter. will allow you to skate from most flatter surfaces ( aslong as hte incline isnt to steep down or up )
@@tacofraud I have already seen your warlock movement video and i understand you explain it there, however its still a different thing on its own for a hunter. the input is pretty much the same except for shatterdive being there but i also dont hear it being mentioned in the warlock video for the hunter..
nope, i just didnt include it because it is somewhat niche and honestly not worth learning for 99% of players, when shatter skating is easier and more consistent. if that technique is still in the game after lightfall, i will include it in the redux guides i do for each class.
As a hunter main Im still salty that the "movement class" is the slowest sack of potatoes in the game. titans who's supposed to be a moving bring wall however fly around like damn airhockey puck. Can you sue for false advertisements ingame? lol
Just spend like 70-80 ish keys.. got the sword like 25 times and still no eagers edge 🥲 I got the red border twice tho so at this point I’ll be able to craft before I damn well get it…..

I know all this but these are great tutorials for newcomers. The keys, slowmo, timestamps, and good structure up the quality of the video. Keep it up!
thank you!
I have over 850 hours in this game and you taught me to well-skate when no one else could take my sub.

currently working on a new hunter movement guide featuring everything here + ground skate, strand, and more, should be out in a week ish
ok probably next few days not a week.

Thank you I watched a dude and he said you needed to run at the ledge and it messed up my timing but I’ve got it down
2:50 ok i never knew about this one
thanks! i know how to do it but im still not really fast as you

I'd say wellskating is still slower tho but good movement tech vid very informative
Can shatter skating be done with Trapper's Ambush and Ensnaring Slam?
not on void, something similar on strand though - video on that soon
@@tacofraud That's great, thank you! :)
Press Space or A or X to jump
Can you go jn depth with void lock skating
might make a short vid eventually
Will there be a titan movement guide?
within a few days i hope!

Great guide but what about groundskates?
coming in new guide
It may not be wildly viable, but you can use your sparrow as a portable shatterskate platform!
this is something being included in one of my coming videos!
does anyone know if u can shatterskate with void 3.0 ambush dive?
You cannot
@@bofa722 sadge, but i cant shatterskate anyway, so...
@@parvusignum261 Hitting all three inputs at the same time give your skating a little rng but it makes it much easier,
Idk how people do it off such a small ledge and I also know it’s possible on a slant and the ground
will make a video eventually about this.
does it still work ? on ps5 is doesn't work
still works
can't get this to work at all for the life of me
you forgot ground shatter skate
