Hey guitar modders! Thanks for all of the kind words and ideas! If you want to try this mod out for yourself, I've made a tutorial which you can watch here: ruclips.net/video/p5V1YJB5e8w/видео.htmlsi=PoXLPzyPAuafsxmv

    A couple ideas for you:
    1 Quad tracking:
But in your case, record 2 performances x 2 pickups. Hard pan the Bridge tracks Left/Right, but do opposite the Neck tracks Right/Left.
2 The other option I would try would be using the Bridge for rhythm guitar into 1 amp. Send the neck output through a volume pedal and a 2nd amp with extra reverb & midrange. Use the volume pedal to taste during guitar solos 🤙

I’m doing dual mono analog pedal trains with coil splits.Running into a Quattro interface, I can play with stereo backing tracks or two dual split trains and input four separate tracks into my DAW. Imagine the Latency!

Extremely important video, crazy that nobody did this before

Thanks for this! I’ve long wanted to do this with one of my guitars.
Depending on what sound you’re going for, I think putting a brighter OD/amp combo on the neck and slightly darker OD/Amp Combo on the bridge would help balance out the sound when spread. Just my two cents.
Also, regarding the last form of stereo, check out Hybrid Guitar Co. They’re specifically designed to split the low and high strings to two different amps, but they’re more aiming to be a guitar/bass hybrid!

Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed the video.
That's a cool idea about amps. I didn't put a ton of thought into my own examples (amps give me decision fatigue), so I really appreciate you putting in your two cents here. :)

@@JoywalkerMusic as a Helix owner, I’m in the same boat regarding decision fatigue. I end up rotating between 4-5 amps depending on my mood and the context of the music. 😂

Stereo is accurate. It's no different than recording an acoustic with 2 mics. "dual mono" could be applied to any stereo signal! haha!

Super cool! Thanks for doing this! I was just sitting here thinking about doing this and thought I'd look it up first, and this video is perfect! I'm impressed by how much stereo spacialization is happening when fully panned! I thought maybe it'd be pretty mono sounding still because you are still capturing the same string(s). Seems like for recording you still need to double track for the THICC though :). This would be great for live performances with a PA or 2 amps though!
My biggest problem is that I'm running a processor - no stereo input!

You could also copy both tracks to another stem and add a delay to that.
You don't have a video of the wiring or a diagram do you? This is exactly (ish) what I'd like to try with a bass, to replicate the "Rick o matic" effect, but using one jack.
Thanks for sharing this project, BTW and I'm sure your chanel will take off. It certainly deserves to.

Thanks! I briefly show my wiring in my first stereo guitar video (from earlier this year), though I made it way more complicated than it needed to be. Hoping to eventually make a better tutorial for others who want to do this mod in the future.

What if you sent the right channel through bus with delay sent to the left channel, and then the opposite to the right channel? Then you would have 4 signals, and the tone would be evenly blended between both L/R but separated by some delay. That seems like a quick way to quadruple track?

I've played guitar for 51 years now and that was the first time I have ever heard someone actually say the word "axe" referring to a guitar. Seen it written many times, never actually spoken.

Yeah, to be honest it felt a little unnatural to say out loud 😆
