Another nice reaction!😊👍 Wow, I think your obsevation of "Aurora being the fire" in the last bit of the video might be spot on. I had'nt thought about that myself, but Aurora mentioned in an interwiev with Tripple J, that one of the insprations for the album was the myth of prometeus. And how he created humans from clay, and stole fire from the gods to give them life. And just as the statues in the video come to life, is when Aurora is the fire. She also mentioned that we often focus to mutch on the "clay" instead of the "fire" inside us. To quote her "Clay, no no. Fire, yes yes."
@@ModernLifeForThe70sMind Yes 😊👍 I had to duoble check, It was actually this song she was talking about when mentioning prometeus, not the album. Here's the interview if you want to see for your self: ruclips.net/video/uoYgReFWq2c/видео.html (talking about the song around the 3 minute mark)
@@ModernLifeForThe70sMind Yes her twirling in that dress overlaid over the statues waking up definitely symbolizes the fire of the gods infusing the statues as they wake up.,
@@ModernLifeForThe70sMind I think her waking up the statues symbolizes "waking up" people with love from the "drudgery" of life where no one comforts each other and the people on TV are lying: "But everybody cries and nobody comforts, The television lies and now my mind hurts" If you like just listening to her voice without the production, you will love this a cappella song without any instruments "Through The Eyes of a Child" youtu . be / CFzExUN1N8I It is an old performance from 2016, but it is magical and has amazing harmonies with her band members.
I love Aurora, ever since her performance of It Happened Quiet on the Current with Silja Sol. Aurora seems to have a lot in common with Prince, He was known to record many songs, but never to release them. Aurora has stated in interviews that She is happiest in a studio recording and has recorded many songs that have not been officially released, some have "leaked" somehow. She is amazing.
Aurora is for universal love, without borders. She emphasizes that you should not hold back, give in to the love no matter what others may think of it. There are many lbgtq people holding back on showing their love, but Aurora is in some songs encouraging humans with different perception of sexuality to stand up and come forward..
Hi Bob, I love the idea of AURORA touching the god statues and making them come to life. This is the correct introductory video for her album "The gods we can touch". And from that moment on, it's also a different, much happier music. The first part of the music is already happy and really good, but the second part is even better. This is of course the intention with AURORA. AURORA has several sections with very different melodies in almost all songs, which better support the respective lyrics in their effect. I just find it remarkable that AURORA manages to do this so well over and over again. Her songs are always interesting because of that. Have a nice weekend and Greetings from Germany (with the warmest October since weather records. Approx. 23° C at the end of October in northern Germany and up to 27° C in the south.)
You have only touched the surface of the songs available to watch of hers. She has tons of un-released songs that are on RUclips (some of which I mentioned in the chats like the covers) plus people react to entire concerts or interviews. There is SOOO much yet for you to discover!
I'm so sad. I just realized you had Aurora's playlist/poster "all my demons greeting me as a friend" in your background ahhh!! But I love you reaction as always, thanks once again Bob is good to be back after a while.
Don't worry about running out of songs from Aurora. There are so many more for you to discover. Also, you will find that there are many of her songs that she performs completely, totally different every time. It's like she does independent covers of her own songs, and each one is simply stunning. Stay with us, and keep your reactions coming. We enjoy them.
Hey Bob, Yep ,you heard it live. It was the encore song in Chicago. Did you see the post Floor Jansen (Nightwish) made on the community page of her channel? She has breast cancer and is having surgery tomorrow to remove the tumor.
Oh no!! I didn't hear that. May have to do a floor song on Friday. I'm going to change things a bit. Mondays/Tuesdays will be softer stuff. Wednesdays will be my Cabinet of Curiosities, Thursday will either be nothing or something unusual and Fridays will be more heavier rock stuff. Will do weekends only if I have extra time.
Woo Hoo!! I thought I was just seeing things. It was just the way they brought it in that reminded me of fire. They obviously did a good job if I was able to see it. Score one for Bob! LOL
Your comment about fire was spot on Bob. Aurora has said that part of the inspiration for this song was the Prometheus myth of him giving fire to humans. Here is one for you that really focuses on Aurora's voice and her lyrics, an acoustic version of "Temporary High" (ruclips.net/video/VGzBbdNeQmM/видео.html). I hope you can find time to watch and enjoy it.
This song is inspired by the Greek god Prometheus who made humans out of clay and stole fire from the gods to give us life. Her dress represents that fire and when she touches the statues they become alive. She thought about this "clay" we're made of and thought our obsession with the appearance of it is both weird and wonderful. If you look carefully, you'll see the statues are all in "anti-social" poses, but all it took was a touch from someone to break the cycle and love spreads.
Hey Bob, I went to a Band-Maid concert last Friday, and it was the most fun concert I’ve been to. Have you heard of them? They’re an all-female Japanese 5-piece hard rock band formed in 2013. If you want to give them a look, I recommend their official live video of “Domination” from their last pre-COVID concert on Feb 14, 2020. There’s a really adorable video of them meeting The Warning at the recent Aftershock festival, since they both played on the same day and said they’re big fans of each other.
It was a fire dress or that's what I've thought. The statues came to Life after she touches them much like Prometheus using fire to bring clay beings to life. Great video and reaction!
All the live studio performances on RUclips are exactly what you are referring to…. Less produced more acoustic and thats what I LOVE so much about them. I sent you a few, but there are SOOO many. Even Life on Mars which was better then the concert one you rested to

I think you are on track with the fire and giving life. She has spoken alot about the titan Prometheus who formed the humans in clay and gave them life with fire he stole from the gods.
This fire was intentional and very cool. As it refers to Prometheus and that gods made people from clay but it is fire which he stolen from gods and like "finished them". Clay symbolizing outside but fire is a inside of human which is less visible but much more important :). As she said in interview (from memory): Clay: no no, Fire: yes yes:). Part from wiki: "Prometheus is best known for defying the gods by stealing fire from them and giving it to humanity in the form of technology, knowledge, and more generally, civilization. In some versions of the myth he is also credited with the creation of humanity from clay. "
