- The Sustainable Energy for Rural Communities Mashaba Minigrid is an EC funded project which is providing 10,000 people with access to clean modern energy in Gwanda district, Zimbabwe. The minigrid has an output of 99Kw with connections having been made to; 1 school, 1 clinic, 2 business centres and 2 irrigation schemes, thus improving the health, education and livelihoods of the connected communities.

I love this. I have been researching about solar power as I'm also working on building my own solar energy plant to empower local businesses. I'm really encouraged to see the this is already happening in some parts of Zimbabwe

From my limited knowledge of solar energy it's not financially sensible to power a stove using solar as it significantly increase the start up cost due to high energy needs for stoves i.e 3kw. However for lighting, TV and fridge a 1000w/1kw Inverter can do the job.
Use gas for stove ,,,shun away from electrical stoves they use a lot of power ...
