watching your videos remind me of being a kid and watching the Old Yankee workshop
I’ve got a large slice of spalted hickory outside my shop that’s been calling for a purposeful life. Bingo!!
Awesome! I really liked the fact that you went for the natural look with out sanding! At least that's how it seems!
Beveling and finish work really makes it pop!
brings back memories of my apprenticeship ,made 3 different sizes .Handles stuck out 35mm now almost flush
really nice, John. I like the little detail you put in with the chamfers!
Some real art in that detail work. It's almost too nice to use!
I made two of them mallets but only with pressed in handles. They like to fly off. Now I know how it's made. Thanks for the fun!
Great video, John. I love the way you cut the chamfered edges. That was a nice touch.
I have wanted to make one of these for longer than I can remember. But, since I can barely remember yesterday, I'm not sure how long that is.
I love this beautiful mallet. Thanks for sharing.
Simple but a thing of beauty and great craftsmanship of itself.
if malletts could take and tell storys
Beautiful Mallet John! Love the music too!
I really like the bevel details.
haven't been on this channel in a while, but really enjoying this hand tool vibe.
Thanks for showing how and sharing that
thanks for a wonderful presentation, I will be making one, just one alteration. I will be leaving the natural curve under the bark, and add a curve similar to the one you added, to give it a semi-sphere top. Also, nice touch on the face. Once again, many thanks.
Thanks for the video! Nice, little project, I'll use this video to make myself a mallet!
