Looks great, thanks for sharing your idea and experiences. Given I have an M15 I think something like this would work for me. Please let me know if you get to the stage of retailing this awesome sunshade.
Thank you! I think it would work great on a M15. I’m definitely going to do some testing to make sure the design is solid but after that I’m sure Nelson Family Canvas will start taking orders. There is a link in the video description if you want to talk to them directly. Thanks again!
So great! I'd love to know how much it might cost to add a batwing like that on my Gloucester 16. Thanks for documenting yet another fine Ruddy Duck inpspired project.
Thanks! I think Eric could give you an estimate on cost for labor and materials. His contact info is on instagram and there is a link in that video description . Im sure the cost will vary on details and fabric choices. I’m so ready to enjoy my cover on a hot summer day in some far away anchorage. Fair winds!
The bimini is a great look. with reguards to rain you might add a pocket between the tie downs to direct water to the guys that could be handy for water colection or even a rope edge that might work but as it is its a fine adddition to Ruddy Duck 🏴☠
Beautiful! I’ve been thinking about making a cover for my Siren 17 and looked at various plans. There was an option to purchase an enclosed cockpit tent when they were new, but alas I have only seen pictures. I think the design you’ve come up with looks really great! Just wondering what you used for batten? I think you mentioned fibreglass from HD, but not positive?
Eric definitely knows his stuff! Looks awesome and huge compliments to you both for design and execution.
Thank you. It was great working with Eric and a fun project to complete!
Yes!! Ruddy duck is balling now!!
Yeah bro. Thanks again for the sweet aerial shots!!

Sounds good, thank you!
love the scenery there ... fun show, always something.
Winter is definitely a special time on the water. We don’t have as much snow as usual but it’s still beautiful.
yeah ... but winter usually isn't much of a time for sunshades, unless it's something you're getting sorted for summertime. @@ruddyducksailing

I need one. Slightly larger! :D
I’m sure they could be made any size and shape custom to the boat you have

It would be cool to collect some fresh rain water for sure. I’m pretty excited to test it out in some hot summer sun also!

Thanks! And Yes we used round fiberglass rods from home depot. They were the right stiffness for our application and very cost effective .
Nice project.
Yes it was fun . Can’t wait for some hot sun to test it on.🙂
very interested in buying one
I love mine! There’s a link to Eric’s canvas site in the video description. I’m sure he’d be happy to discuss it with you
I'm in ill buy one.
👍 after a little testing and some refinements I’m sure Eric will be making them!
