What Ranveer and Deepika was not an open relationship. The whole point of an open relationship is to be part of a committed relationship where you're allowed to have romantic or sexual relationships outside the "main" relationship. Deepika said she wasn't committed to him. So by definition what they had was a casual dating situationship where they were still trying to figure out if they were right for each other
