Decent story, liked how the protagonist was self-conscious about betraying his best friend, in asking if she said who it was, and in asking if this was revenge against himself. Felt as if the box needed more backstory though. Well done to the author and the narrator.
Yea fr I feel like it ended well but could’ve gone longer some more insight into the clown devil himself or the boxes origin would’ve been cool

Ahmad Ghazal , even if you did nothing, you will still ask with whom your best friend`s wife had an affair. From my perspective, the protagonist is innocent and his friend is just a shitty friend. Like 3:06 doesn't sound the protagonist feel responsible.

Good stories tend foreshadow or drop hints about the twist before it happens. if you listen again you'll probably pick up on the hints better with your hindsight.
It's not bad that you didn't expect it by the way! Plot twists shouldn't only exist to shock the reader but that is one of it's purposes!

...Against their better judgement the people alway's end up playing a Risky Box Game like this😬 and tragedy usually follows. Like a few other's have said I would love more of a history about this Devil's box, probably make the story even better! Plus I just love CreepsMCPasta's voice. The reason we’re reading the story right now is because the box told the author/protagonist to write it. As far as the why, idk. I think the author was going for a “the evil spirit is now free from the box, so it haunts people based on knowledge of it” type of thing. Either that, or the ending was simply meant to show that the protagonist wasn’t free.

You’ll be gravitated towards reading the card I guess, kinda like how they felt a driving force to carry out what the card says.

The story is awesome&bizarre
Generally a decently engaging story. I do have two questions though:
1. When the box stopped giving Ross more cards, how did he know it wasn't because he hadn't successfully passed it onto Mark?
2. What was Mark's mental state when he sat down and wrote, "Dear Mark, when I first sat down to write this letter, it was out of cowardice"?

This made me think of that movie where the girl has a select amount of wishes and each time she does a death happens.
Was it that movie with a chinese box, with something like 9 wishes (maybe less wishes) and on the last wish you die?

Alternate title: Don't stay with a cheater that brought a kid... Kinda sus to cheat for an extended time and just know the kid is from the invested option
So wait, did the MC have an affair with Stephanie or not? He didn't remark either way, and the start of the story made it seem unlikely…That's honestly the biggest question I have right now. Well, that and, "Is Carmen the box now?", but that feels like something best left ambiguous; the question of the affair just kinda bugs me. Good story overall, though!
You're meant to assume that the affair was real. Very common writing trope.

I didn't understand the ending.
The way I understood the ending is that just because the physical game was destroyed in the fire, the game itself must continue on until Mark completes all tasks required of him. He had only completed two tasks thus far,
1. Fake accident “prank”
2. Neighbor’s cat.
But his friend Russ had to complete 4 tasks before he was set free from the curse:
1. Door pee
2. Pinky toe
3. Brake lines
4. Cook baby or pass curse on to Mark
Mark’s 3rd task (his first since the game was destroyed) is to write this story down, which is part of why we are hearing this story to begin with. That means he probably has a 4th task to complete, just like his friend Russ had, before he is also set free. That final task is up for conjecture, but given how these sorts of stories usually go, I’m assuming that Mark’s final task is to pass on his written-down story to all of us to hear/read, so that we are all now “cursed” to do bad things as well. That would help the evil spread quickly and widely, especially now that the physical game was destroyed.
I’m assuming that the game itself is a metaphor for the ripple effect of evil that is done in this world. And that even people who are perhaps originally kind or well-meaning, like Russ, are capable of doing bad things to others and therefore spread evil in their own way. And this, due to the hurt of the evil each person has suffered against them in their own lives.

Cool story but the box needed more backstory a lot more backstory you left it where we absolutely knew nothing about the box. It's basically just a bad box that apparently contained something evil yet the idiot let it out. Why would he assume breaking the damn box would stop it hell the box appeared to be a container for said evil. The dude only let the evil entity free to do whatever the hell it pleased with no box to contain it to possibly a single person or nobody.
