I would like to know, how long I should practice per day to improve my voice? If my voice is a mezzo, do you have any idea what singers I have to listen to have them as example for the kind of vocal range I have?
Great questions, Melany. Sorry for the late reply. To answer your questions: 1. There isn't really a magic number for how long a person should practice. However, for singing it is important to not tire out your voice by singing too long. If you notice your voice getting tired, I'd suggest resting your voice and coming back to practice some more later. This could be after 45min, or 1hr, or more... But, being aware is key. 2. If I were you, I'd research and find some professional classical singers who have their own professional recordings with full orchestra. There are many. For pop or worship music, there are many mezzo range singers as well. What style of music are you particularly drawn to?
