thank you for making it easier to hear that harmonies. many videos are technical and theory of harmonies, but this alows people to hear and sing with the part.
Nate! This is terrific - I'm currently working with a worship band; so your website, blog, and videos are all great resources and conversation points for us. Our thanks to you and Alice!
Hi Sean! Great to hear from you. Just had PC rehearsal tonight and thought of you. That's awesome that you're working with a worship band. We're so encouraged to hear that you might be able to use some of our material as resources! 😁Keep us posted on how things are going over there!
Wow!! Please do more videos like these so we can learn to sing and harmonize! Please, how do I learn to sing better? I would like to worship the Lord without my voice missing the notes and being distracting Thank you so much for making this video!
Hi Sarah. Thanks! Would love to share some on how to sing better. That is a passion of mine. We actually put together a short mini course on vocal technique you can check our here: voice.worshiprefocus.com Also have some useful tips in this blog post on harmonizing: worshiprefocus.com/how-to-sing-harmony/ Hope this can be helpful. 😊
Man. You gave me chills. Not only is this song powerful, but your tutorial is fantastic and of course, hearing you sing is always a blessing. Looking forward to the next one already!
Thanks, Jon! That means so much, man! I'm looking forward to making the next one too. 😃This one was fun. I'm hoping I can get faster at making them, though! haha
Oh my goodness! Thank you! I'm...let's just say...not young any more and used to sing with choirs and ensembles. I've just been accepted into our worship team at my new church and learning a part on my own is NOT easy for me as my ear is just not that good. This is so, so helpful! Bless you, brother!! Thank you!!
@@WorshipRefocus You know, i was going to suggest if there was a way to split out the parts so we could "hammer" them...but now I see the google drive link with just that! Brother, you've thought of everything! Looking forward to more of the same!!
@@brucederouen2385 perfect! I’m glad you found that! Yes, it can be helpful to use the isolated tracks. I’ve used them with my students a fair bit as well. I have a playlist on the channel with all the harmony tutorials I’ve made so far also... you might find that helpful if you want to work through a few more! All the best! -Nate
I am struggling on this harmony. As a high alto/low soprano, we are singing this in the key of B this Sunday and the refrain is a bit too high for me, so I am working on this lower harmony, and for some reason I seem to be falling a bit flat. Thank you for this tutorial. I usually can hear a harmony from listening to a melody but Waymaker is definitely giving me a challenge! Challenge accepted Oh Lord! Amen! 🙏🙏🙏
That's awesome! So glad this can be of use. I know how it is... sometimes it's just hard to hear that specific harmony part! Glad this can help out. Right, if you're singing it in B major you can sing the lower harmony in your own register (basically up the octave from where I sing it), then it would be just perfect! 👍 Hope you have a wonderful church service this Sunday. Blessings!
Hi Nate What a great talent you have!I will be using this in our church for our vocals tutorial soon. Can you please give me the link for the split parts?.To God be the glory.

Hello, this is SO wonderful!! I love your voice and I listen to your version every day :-) btw where did you get the music sheet of these 3 harmonies version? Please let me know. I appreciate it! :)
Aww, thanks!! So happy you like it. I didn’t use any sheet music for these harmonies, I just sang them by ear and referencing the original recordings. However, for some good sheet music with notation and harmony parts for worship songs, I often use PraiseCharts.com and SongSelect.com.
I can sing all parts. Push out the nose ladies for the low part if it's difficult. I would rock this song a little but that's just me. This is beautiful though.
Hi Scott! Currently, I don't have a separate melody vocal line for this. In the free download, I have the upper and lower harmony part by themselves--but not the melody. I'd recommend listening to one of the recordings by Leeland to work on the melody, and then come back to this video for honing in on the harmony parts. :) Hope that helps.
yah, t'was really helpful. i just couldn't reach some notes on the higher harmony so i need to make some adjustments..haha. anyway, this is really nice ;) thanks Godbless.
Hi Lexi. The melody (and the whole song) is in the key of D major. Just for your future reference, I usually include the key in the description of each tutorial. 😊

So glad you are enjoying singing along! What Hallelujah song are you thinking?
Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen
with all parts of harmony

Thanks!
This is a wonderful part breakdown... do you have one in the key of E?
Unfortunately not… but a whole step higher shouldn’t be too far in one’s voice to transpose and still feel pretty similar.
thanks

Thanks, Karen! Praise God. Thanks for the advice... I just added the key in the description. :)
