LMFAO, I truly _hate_ the fact that we never got to see more of that sweet, sweet, spicy chemistry, but the look on their face when they get interrupted is absolutely priceless. 😭🤣
This is the best couple I’ve ever seen, the fact that I’m the book where it continues on the story they get married and they spend their time together is so lovely.
I know it is a deep dive, but I believe that any prequel material we have shouldnt be about Jack- but Sally. Sally is the one having an arc in the movie but sadly the movie is from jack's perspective, so we only see the very last quarter of it. Sally has an actual part in the Halloween town song- a song that we KNOW they spend an entire year planning. She partners with the wind who specifically references 'blowing through your hair' and Sally is the only character with long hair- so she's been part of the planning since the song was written at the very least. The doctor said she slipped out three times that MONTH? Most likely rehearsals that she couldn't concoct an excuse to leave for legitimately. Jack also knows she can sew, is a problem solver and they talk to each other as equals when the rest of the town (especially the ladies) swoon every time he's around. So Sally clearly spends a lot of time around these people. I would argue she didn't start the crush until she heard him talking about how he felt bored and underwhelmed in his life and she found something she could relate to. Also can we point out shes always near the hanging tree and his crew? She even sits in his branches in the town meeting. She's also stuffed with leaves and the doctor doesn't seem to think she can mend herself (judging by how he sews her arm back on in his medical lab) which might mean she covers up her escapades and damage by rushing off for extra stuffing. Finally her relationship with the doctor is pretty basic. He's an introverted father. Others like to attribute more evil vibes to him, but lets face it. He sat up all night waiting for her to come home like a worried parent. His terrible, evil, UNREASONABLE punishment for her poisoning him multiple times? He sent her to her room without supper- and he caved too, he tried to let her out that night, not the next morning. He's just a recluse, and since he doesn't WANT to go out, Sally isn't ALLOWED to go out. So at some point she started making commitments that had a time and place attached and began taking extreme measures to keep them. Maybe she hoped that taking part in the Festivities might convince him to let her out more, but he just doubled down. He didn't even mention missing the biggest night of the year- so clearly it wasn't a concern to him.

Their relationship is not perfect but they again no relationship is but they do care about each other and want the other to be happy and loved and even though it took them some time to find each other. I believe them finding them selves before committing to each other is way more important .Finding that someone who will love you no matter what in Sickness and in Heath though the ups and downs will stay by your side and love you no matter what Now and forever. ❤️🖤
I wish we saw their relationship flesh out more, it just kind of felt rushed in the film. And honestly, Sally in general should have had a larger focus, she just kind of felt underdeveloped to me.

I don't think the romantic type of love is special. And I am started to think that the romantic type of love isn't real. I mean about more than half of romantic couples either break up with each other or divorce each other. I think humans should just ditch concepts like dating, marriage, and pair bonding. I feel like this world would be a much better place without romance than it is with it. In my opinion, romantic love should not be on the highest pedestal. In my opinion, parents and siblings' family love is the strongest. Family knows who you are. Romance is fake for lots of people, put on a false persona and romance on most parts gets ugly real fast. For the reality of romance is no Disney love story. Parents and siblings' family love is one of the strongest types of love there is. If romantic love is actually real, it would be one of the weakest types of love there is.
Honestly just proves how I feel, they aren't a good couple. She left an abusive situation to latch on to any semblance of love despite him being abusive in ignoring and dismissing anything she has to say until he screws up. Even then it's not even a gradual thing for him it's just him walking up and being like "I know you love me, so let's get together"
