poor her ...after she was murdered by a man she still trusted another. bless her soul.
bad way to put this into sexism
@@federicogermani1088 i mean the trauma itself was bad , yet she healed and found her courage to move on hoping for better. that s pretty brave .
Most men don't make poor relationship decisions like you as your mom was silly enough to spread her legs for a guy with no intention of being a present father who might've otherwise intervened to protect you from yourself. That being said, there are some scumbags out there but, _those_ "men" are generally raised by single moms like your own so, no matter how far back we trace it, your poor decisions and distrust of men end up being your and your mom's own empowered faults.
@federicogermani1088 no,it was perfectly put
@@chrissy138Yh I agree w u
This movie is a heart breaker. Emily is so beautiful and I cry everytime I watch it at the end. I wanted them to be together, but they set each other free. This movie was my childhood and I'm 25 and still watch it on the regular. If I ever get married, I want 1,000 blue butterflies released into the sky versus white doves.
so emily could never rest in peace
@Belen Coelho her soul was put to rest when she got her revenge, saved an innocent woman, and then turned into butterflies. She 100% was put to rest
@@bluegirl278 I'm saying that you want Emily to stay Victor, if she stays with Victor then Emily would never rest in peace
@@belencoelho1968 ah yes I agree, I’m not the original commenter so I didn’t want her to stay with Victor. I like the ending as is
Yeah Team VIctor x Emily
The forest scenery in this movie is amazing
I always thought her dress was so beautiful when she was dancing
I loved that scene too
I though that how hard would that be to animate.
@@DoğuÖzaltunoğluBut its definitely worth it
This movie never get old in our hearts❤, is teaches us how to love during live and after death.
such a hauntingly beautiful scene
7:41 this part is so much better in the Spanish translation cuz the guy instead of just saying that says “see?” In a giggly voice so as to make it all seem like a joke. It tells the audience how Victor sees the whole thing as an absurd situation
You mean the part where victor say in spanish “esta muerta mira” lol.
3:36 I always laugh at that 😂😂😂 also at the scene after where victor is telling Emily to sit down and wait it’s so sad cause we know what he’s planning, and she trusts him in such a innocent and cute way, not nieve, just gullible
Personally I don’t see a difference
The way she tripped though 💀
That I guess was a little funny, I am watching it over and over again now
I just really hope Victor and Victoria have a daughter named Emily. So they can remember “her “ :(💙
That would be weird af
oh no, don't ever name our child as the names of ex-gf or ex-bf
@@imacutesweet8163I don't think Victoria would have a problem naming her child after her late aunt...
I have a theory...
The Evergots were poor, and the Merrimacks were rich. Maudlin's sister, Emily, takes the family treasure and runs away into the forest, according to the story.
Maudlin and Finis got married and had little Victoria. Villa Merrimack becomes Villa Evergot and we know this because both villas have a piano, Emily's piano, and a safe.
I think that explains when Victoria says that her mother is against playing the piano, because, after all, perhaps Maudlin thinks that the melody will take her into romantic reveries and take her as far away as it took her beautiful sister, Emily.
And I think that the Evergot villa during the time of the Merrimacks was much more beautiful and attractive during their residence, I think that it was not overgrown with creepers, weeds and the like, so that is why Emily did not recognize it as her home....
To summarize, Emily is Victoria's aunt and Maudlin's younger sister. Emily has never met Victoria due to the fact that Victoria's birth year coincides with Emily's death, which means she has been a zombie for nineteen years.
@@imacutesweet8163except they only ended up together because of Emily.
@@Quinna5537and emily literally saved both their lives

We really should be giving mad props to Tim Burton and Helen for making a cropse look and sound this attractive
The way she dances is just perfection, her smile is cute, her personality is amazing, her soul is beautiful, her looks is gorgeous. Emily is so sweet she's my fav character and deserved better........😭💙
7:50 Pffffft, The fact Victoria is standing and watching Victor to vanish with Emily instead running to him 🤣

One of my favorite movies for Halloween.
Mine too
Not just for Halloween
I love this movie!
It's so bizarre and romantic.
Downright frightening, too. But still. 🥰
This was the best movie ever to be made by Tim Burton
Childhood is wishing Victor married Emily instead of Victoria.
Adulthood is realizing that Victor would’ve been happier with Victoria.
I’m still mad, but only because Victoria doesn’t have that much personality
@@lindsaymosher4667 fair enough
@lindsaymosher4667 how you can say that? I mean there wasn't even that much scenes with her
@@lindsaymosher4667 In the little screentime we got of Victoria, she shows plenty of character. We see her dream of being happy in marriage contrast with her parents' practicality, we see how she wanted to learn piano but was never allowed to, we see her try to find help for Victor despite seeming crazy, we see her so fed up with Barkis she's hardly shaken by the walking dead all over the place, and we see her approach to watch Victor's wedding from the sidelines despite everything else that happened. We see a character who has dreams and craves freedom, but who gets constantly held back. Ultimately, she encounters a situation where the one thing she thought was within her reach gets snatched away. She was ultimately handed that something, or rather that someone, instead of winning it herself, but that's because she's not a main character. Even then, that can be a beautiful lesson in itself, that although some situations are beyond control or we get suffocated by societal and familial pressures, it's okay to accept a gift. That happiness isn't something we have to "earn" in order to deserve. That sometimes people simply love each other, and that no amount of work or plot armor can change true love once it takes root.
If Victoria, who struggled the whole time she was being dragged into situations she had no say in, has no personality then who in the audience does?
I love this movie. Along with Wallace and Gromit the Curse of the Were-Rabbit.
And interestingly, Helena Bonham Carter was in both movies!!
I'm in love with Tim Burton
She waited for her love, he killed her. She waited for her love again, he left her. Poor girl..
It's probably here eye.
" No, your eye is... lovely"
It would make a great party trick.
Beauty and the Bones.
Seriously, this movie is darker than I remember
It is funny that the old skeleton is frail and you feel he will soon be dying. The death for the second time! 😅
I love Emily but I want Victor to happy with his choice
It’s just so sad that he didn’t want Emily

Yeah but If it wasn’t that Emily wouldn’t have rest in peace
Although I sympathize with Emily and admire her for her moments such as these, I’ve always rooted for Victoria and was happy she got to have her happy ending as well as with Emily by passing on contented
I wanted victor to be happy with his choice but at the same time he knew so much more about Emily than he did victoria, all he knew about victoria was that she was alive…
She never separated them, and she never tried. Have you ever even watched the end of the movie?

Emily: I was the one who had it all
I was the mistress of my fate
I never needed anybody in my life
I learned the truth too late
I'll never shake away the pain
I close my eyes, but he's still there
I let him steal into my melancholy heart
It's more than I can bear
Now I know he'll never leave me
Even as he runs away
He will still torment me, calm me, hurt me
Move me, come what may
Wasting in my lonely tower
Waiting by an open door
I'll fool myself he'll walk right in
And be with me for evermore
I rage against the trials of love
I curse the fading of the light
Though he's already flown so far beyond my reach
He's never out of sight
Now I know he'll never leave me
Even as he fades from view
He will still inpire me, be a part of
Everything I do
Wasting in my lonely tower
Waiting by an open door
I'll fool myself he'll walk right in
And as the long, long nights begin
I'll think of all that might have been
Waiting here for evermore!

I think in a different universe, Victor would've fallen in love with Emily due to her gregarious, outgoing, and artistic nature. It's just a shame that in their lifetime, she was murdered and they met as a result of that.
I would have to wait to watch this movie on TV again because I will not be able to watch it tomorrow I'm going to the walk tomorrow
This movie is ELITE.

Wow amazing
This movie deserves a Part 2, whose with me?
I think this movie is perfect as it is, since it ended on a bittersweet note and Emily was set free.
I don't think it's necessary, the film has already established an ending that doesn't need to be continued, as Emily is now free

One of the biggest things I think about when watching this movie is when they ask him to drink the potion they tell him that he'll never be able to go up to the land of the living but at the end of the movie everybody from The Land of the Dead goes to the land of the living 🤔🤔🤔
7:08 yandere alert!

Nice
I have a crush on her
I want 'Hopscotch' to go back to 25 years old world
7:45 my personal favorite scene of it all. When Emily says hopscotch, I copy her. I just don’t get how her shoes are beautiful, but I am trying to sound like her. I still need some practice. It’s hard saying Helena Carter’s. Overall, Corpse Bride is a great and loving movie. Emily is so much better than Victoria. It seems that Victor wanted to cheat on Emily, just because her eyes come out of it could be the maggot.
This is one thing I don’t understand if this is the land of the dead than aren’t the crows supposed to be dead as well?
