- A young boy's encounter with a scorpion in the Arabian desert can teach us a lot about what we must do to avoid and overcome the venomous sting of sin.

I'm not a mormon but as a Christian I really like this message
I am a mormon. I always have been and I always will. I know the church's teachings to be true. I always follow them. They make my life better. I am a Mormon and I think everyone should be.
Probably one of my all time favorite talks.
Elder Kearon was the stake president in my first area on my mission. What a great man, and a great message.
I understand where you are coming from, but I believe that this message is universal. I understand why you might not call it a sin, but this portrays the importance of obedience to your parents that goes a long way.
heavenly father loves every one and he loves you
Today I spent the whole afternoon and the evening with the missionaries, I learnt that we prefer learning by our own experiences than just being obedient and avoid the painful consequences of our choices.
Great man, and a great lesion taught. I know that Christ can heal our wounds.
God love everyone even those who have gone astray
and no one is ever too far astray
I think we have all at one time or another have been "stung by scorpions" I know I have thousands if not millions of times. That I why I need my Savior. Only through Him can we be healed.
Joseph Hardy Mormons should poets because they always leave the best messages
Joseph Hardy I have never been stung by s scorpion
I agree with him, it is a good idea to listen to your parents
I've never been stung or seen a scorpion I'm Aussie
we need to be obedient no matter the situation
Yes. Heavenly Father loves all his children.
We must never forget the God has given us 10 commandments to follow. To protect us and to guide us to live happily, imortal, and for eternity with our Father.
Dude I thought u were theodd1sout because of ur profile pic and I was all like OH MY GOSH MY FAV TUBER IS MORMON!!! XD
Amen. ....Amen. ....and Amen.
Always remember, obedience gives blessings but exact obedience gives miracles
Made some very powerfull comments. Let's hope people will listen to this man an follow everything that he has just said.
GOOD COMMENTS
This is one if my favorite talks and videos... It has such an amazing message and is one of the first videos I remember seeing from the missionaries
thank u 4 this correct principle. It helps make my life straight and closer to the spirit of the Lord. It helps me understand how to counsel and love youths with humility, and obedience to the Lord's example. I thank u, wonderful, obedient brethren of the Church who honor your priesthood. U have blessed many lives, including myself and my family.
As my mom says, what would God do, the right thing or the bad thing
I love these lessons because I'm Mormon too
Go Mormons! You Rock!
Thank you! But we do prefer LDS or latter day saint.
@@icouldntthinkofanything1785 lol his comment is from 8 years ago
This shows a powerful message that we should all take in
It's an analogy. The comparison is in the principle of doing what we know to be right to protect ourselves from pain. This can be physical, emotional, or spiritual. When we believe in Heavenly Father, and choose to follow
His commandments, we are able to avoid many of the pitfalls of making the wrong choice.
I LOVE your vidoes!!
Great message about ceasing to fight against God and giving our whole selves to Him.
I remember watching this in General Conference long ago.

“Both lazy and a little rebellious”. Aren’t we all at times, at any age, against our Heavenly Father :). I love how too he said Christ is the Great Physician.

Should you rebel- your own way?
Or care less and be a sloth?
Or... give them heed as that does pay?

Yes, he loves everyone. He just doesn't love sin.

Emperor scorpion

yes, he loves them, though he also knows what they do is against him.
There are a lot of different sins. To be stung by a scorpion is a big sin and one would need the help of a Doctor. Smaller sins like ant bites are what most of us are guilty of. Don't let the scorpions get you stay strong and pray.
wow that was amazing.

And the reason those 3 do not like this?? It is a lesson learned about life & sin. Must be anti-Mormons. Too bad, this is a very good lesson that teaches truth.
