Thanks for the great comments and thanks for watching. I thank God every day that I am healthy and financially able to keep riding. I love sharing my rides and when I get comments on my videos it makes it all worth it, thanks again

And all this time I thought I was the only history nerd, that’ll pull over and read “the story”. A very enjoyable video, glad I found your channel.

I’m glad you enjoyed it and thanks for watching. The history of the roads and area are the most interesting part to me. I love old roads with a history, like FS711. I did a video about it “The Road that Time Forgot “

Just listening to you talk reminds me of my roots . My family is from up around Walkertown . I just sold my Goldwing and got a GS . I am saving your trips for future rides . Living in South Carolina . Enjoying every minute of your videos .

Maybe you should map out these roads to share for others looking for different places to ride/ travel too. I'm most likely going to buy a GS 1300 or a Pan America and will be needed some off roads to ride. These are some nice looking roads to ride on 👍

Thanks for watching, I am a little bit technically challenged sometimes, I am trying to come up with a way to show these routes with an animated map. I will be mapping them out in the near future though. It was a close call for me between the Pan America and the BMW, you will enjoy either one

Hayesville, my part time backyard. I keep my dual sport there. Tuni Gap is a well maintained easy road, but for sure ride right as I’ve encountered vehicles moving right along in the center of the road. And yes indeed you can make a loop with that side road, and it is for sure more technical. It’s also incredibly scenic and fun. The FS roads around Fires Creek will be my next little exploration. Keep the videos coming!

Thanks for watching and commenting, I would love to try the loop sometime, I am a little bit hesitant with my 1250 alone to try too much new technical stuff. Give me shout sometime and maybe you can show me some of the other roads down that way

I look forward to your videos each week. For someone that is new to WNC you are giving me lots of places to go check out. Do you happen to have any GPS tracks of your rides?

I have some that are saved on my BMW app, although I’m not sure I am tech savvy enough to share them. I am working on it though. Thanks for watching

Thank you for posting these videos of western NC. I live in the Greensboro area come to the western area a couple times a year to do some dual sport riding. A group of us do the Smokey Mtn 500 usually once a year but I have been wanting to learn more about the other sections such as what you cover in this video. I also appreciate you covering the history too as many of my rides are to areas of some significant historical importance. Keep the videos coming!

Thank you for watching, I love the history of some of these old roads. Surprising why some of them exist.
