Unless you start lifting and the PVC plates filled with sand falls apart or starts leaking or worse collapses and causes injuries. The quality of the materials used matters. There are a lot of subpar products on Amazon which will fall apart within months.
They're just pvc ( cement) to all people who are asking if this is good quality for home gym , yes, if u are looking for just homegym equipment or cheaper one. But not the best one really, if u want something unbreakable or have best quality that last forever u better buy cast iron dumbell.

I have a very small spare room that these and a bench fit perfectly into. Like others mentioned the size of these are a little bigger/longer than traditional weights so they aren’t the perfect solution for everyone. However, if you're looking for a flexible and space saving design for a home workout I’d recommend these.
I have a set close to the one you use mine came with two dumbbell bars 1 extension bar of 4 1.5 kilos, 5 2.0 weights, and three 2.5 kilos weights I did replace the locking nuts since the originals started to crack. I have to use an alternative style weight if I wish to go up to 5.5 kilos right now I do have 2 3.5 modified weights for greater resistance training.

I have these but I want to make them heavier. Can the plastic bar handle more weight? If not, can I enlarge the hole by 5mm in the center of the weights to allow a metal bar in it?
Yo I have these exact set of dumbbells worked great lol although they did feel mildly light compared to other dumbbells when doing curls lol other than that great set do recommend
Some of them are made with a iron sand cement combination, those ones shouldn’t leak. But the ones with oil I’d assume they’d have caps or seals to keep the iron inside from rusting. If I had those I’d probably superglue the seals shut to prevent leakage. Hope this helps.
These are horrible and brake fast. I can recommend the dumbbells from Decathlon. They cost a little more, but are all metal and will last forever. They are also far more accurate.

I got this and the plastic ends of the foam bar started falling apart after 2 weeks. After only 4 weeks, it fell apart completely.

4*3kg=12kg on every side of a dumbbell, so 24kg for one and adjustable bar is 1kg so it's 25kg in total

This lasts for around a year till the screws stop working as well. Plastic bench easy that's probably why.
