  • The unmistakable sound of the Ballyvourney Jig Set by the Johnny Reidy Ceili Band at Darby O'Gill Country House Hotel, Feb 10th 2012. This ceili was run by "Kerry Dancers", a non-profit organisation based in Co. Kerry, and was a fundraising ceili for our upcoming "Sweets of May" Set Dancing Festival in The Earl of Desmond Hotel, Tralee, Co. Kerry on May 11-13, 2012.     I miss my dance class so much and my friends! I cannot wait to get back soon. It will be so soon you guys I promise maybe not more than a couple of weeks

    Sounds like the musicians are battling to keep up with the drum machine's tempo

    Why is it so fast? the Musician should always lead the dancers, not the other way around....so to answer my own question ...... its the musicians fault.

      In Kerry, they dance the sets faster than in other parts of the country. If the band went slower, the dancers would complain.
