I served on my local school board 2013-2019. I kept bringing up the fact that the constitution wasn’t taught enough in the district. Tulsi, I served in the military for 30 years. I want to thank you for your service. As a Veteran you know we serve our country because we love our country. Republican or Democrat, we are supposed to do what is right. You're right we've lost focused. The parties are supposed to balance each other while taking care of our country. I hope we get that back but unfortunately it doesn't look that way. Doing what is right is not always popular, but it must be done if we are to save our country. I hope you will continue to fight the fight and do what is right.

Not just that. Tulsi herself had the guts to openly call out Hillary Clinton and Kamala Harris for their corruption while campaigning for the 2o2o election. In reward for her honesty and bravery Google refused to run ads she had already paid for. The democratic part doesn't care about democracy or the constitution. They'll openly trample democracy underfoot if it gets in their way.
I think what motivated the democratic party to "win" their way into the White House was the huge humiliation they suffered when they lost in 2016. Even the media and figures like Obama and Hillary got egg on their face for openly saying that Mr. 45 couldn't win. That's what showed them they had to get in by any means necessary.

I watched Jordan Peterson's interview of Tulsi and she blew me away. What goes on in D.C. is corrupt to its core. We have lost our country.
I remember her admitting that in her first week on the job, she was told by several democrat colleagues, to "Only vote along party lines". It doesn't matter what was in the bill. If the other side proposed it, you're to vote no. If later on the democrats proposed the SAME BILL, then vote yes.
We have a two party system that only works for their own side. I'm republican and i like Tulsi and i've vote for her. Because voting should be for the PERSON, not the party. Then again, i know the president is really just a puppet for the PARTY. Oh sure, POTUS has some authority, but really not a whole lot...at least the current one. The last one didn't listen to anyone and that pissed them off.

Tulsi, I think they want us to forget the Constitution. We should remember that the Constitution was put in place to LIMIT the power of the federal government. The 10th Amendment says it best: “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.” Many of the things done today by our federal government are in violation of this statement. If we actually followed the 10th amendment it would drastically reduce the power of the federal government. And as you said, it is about power.

The Constitution did not GIVE us our freedom or our rights. It was designed to preserve them.
No disrespect meant, but, not exactly. What it actually says is, we are endowed by our Creator (God) to have these rights. The constitution and bill of rights actually acknowledges and confirms that these rights are given to us by God. Which means that we don't have these rights because of any government, and that no government can take away these rights. We are endowed by our Creator the right to life, liberty (not freedom), and the pursuit of happiness.

It’s designed to limit the Government’s rights and freedoms, thereby PROTECTING our inalienable right to liberty and justice. It seems like a small detail to clarify when we’re just talking about grammar or phraseology but, in practice, in DC and in the real world, it really is the core principle right there. There has never been any other nation in the history of the world that founded itself by setting limits on its own powers. It’s profound beyond words what a great achievement this was for humankind. I’m still in awe of it every single time I think about it.

I believe that attendance to the reading needs to be mandatory, should be held once a week, and everyone takes a turn reading the entire document out loud to everyone else, this needs to be a televised event broadcast on all channels. Also, anytime that any legislation of any kind is on the floor ALL members need to be present at all times. No exceptions.

While I like Tulsi now that she see the light of her past democrat ways, I don’t think she has demonstrated qualities to be a great leader or a president. Why hadn’t she learned about the democrats before, what took her so long? I understand that one’s thinking can change and that is good, but her finally wising up doesn’t show me the depth of character traits I would want in a President. She would have a lot more explaining to do for my vote. That’s my opinion.
