This will not broadcast 7Km. Half mile at best. You need a booster to put more power to the antenna. There is several ways to do this. Plus you have way too much interference in this 102 range. Try 89 or 108 they are usually empty. Try to find a range with less signals in resonance in your area. The powerlines near you are not up to code is why so much static. Not grounded properly. You need to learn some HAM radio skills. There is an Ebay item that will let you boost a 5-7W device like this to 50W. you might get 5-7Km out of it but guaranteed if you block others signals you will be spanked by your local radio tel communications dept. So try to find a dead space on the FM band if you try it. I'm lucky. I live in the mountains with only 2 other FM signals with no resonance signals from other devices.

Last time I tried, It went upto 6-7 kms on 104.5 I guess
