Crossings Republik Township is an integrated city project, situated nearby National Highway NH 24 in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh stretching towards Greater Noida. Built at a cost of ₹60 billion (US$840 million) and aimed to cater to 200,000 residents.it is one of the two big sub cities of Ghaziabad, along with Indirapuram.[3] The high-rise township spread over 360 acres, covering villages like [Dundahera] and Shahberi, where land acquisition took place from 2004 to 2009.[4] This township is developed by real estate groups like SKB Group, Saviour, Ajnara India Ltd., Assotech, Gaursons India, Mahagun Developers, Panchsheel Promotors, Arihant Build Con Pvt Ltd, Renowned Group, Paramount Residency and Supertech Limited
Noida Greater Noida, an abbreviation of (Greater) New Okhla Industrial Development Authority, is a suburban city of Delhi just across the state line in Uttar Pradesh. Near Yamuna River from Delhi, this is Uttar Pradesh's most modern city and a popular location for businesses & Home Buyers looking to escape Delhi's congestion and steep rents. These biildings do not have any individuality; all look similar, morbid and morose as though they are multistoried concrete slums crammed one upon the other in a desert leading to all the streets reflecting similar monotonous vibe. The highrises need not look similar just because they are constructed under a single real estate project. The exteriors of each of these buildings could be designed aesthetically differently in sync with various architectural traditions ranging from classical to post modern and painted in different soothing colors without much increase in cost. Urbanisation should not be reduced to copy-paste money making business that lacks investment on thought, imagination and aesthetics, especially in a culturally diverse country like India.
Also there is so much dirt on the streets and the buildings themselves are of the same color as dirt as if they are made of dirt. There is no lane marking on the streets, hardly any pedestrians crossing and all road crossings are improperly designed. I wont be surprised if the locality is not connected to storm water drainage and sewage treatment facilities. I am not sure if builders, the municipalities and real eatate buyers in India understand the concept of urbanisation. Overhead electricity transmission should also be completely done away with in urban space.
