Do you ever flatten warped metering blocks? And if so how do you do it? Very informative videos, I appreciate you taking the time to make them.
    Cheers,

Thank you for watching. I used a file or piece of sand paper on a known flat surface. O dont get them perfect, just take the high spots out and just a tad more
Tightening them I just use my thumb and finger. Ill go over them again the same way a few times after the bowls fill with fuel. I dont crush the gasket all at one or two tries. I do it in stages.

      What are you stumped on?

I rebuilt my 4160 and idle is good but as soon as you go off of curb idle it stumbles and trembles as if it is not running on all 8 cylinders. I have watched countless hours of Holley issues and tried them all I think. This is on 1986 F150 5.8. This has me bewildered. I’ve tried mor things than I can list here

@@darylstephens4429 whats your “vacuum” gauge read at idle. And also at steady 2500 RPM? What does the gauge do?

@@firstrespondergarage At idle 700 rpm vac is 18 and 22 @ 2500 thru around 3500. I changed carbs and it runs Great now. I want to maybe send you my metering block because if I pull the plugs with the tubes you didn’t explain how to reseal them. The metering has # 10959 stamped on it.
      TIA

@@firstrespondergarage if I pull the emulsifier tubes how do I seal the hole in the cap after reinstallation. Is it possible for me to ship mine to you for repair? This carb has kicked my butt!
      Thanks
