Tom I've noticed that Piratella in your mod was a lot tighter than real life, in fact your apex speed was 202 kph while the top teams yesterday were doing 225/230 kph through there; but apart from that I don't understand where is all the remaining time.

The track is laser scanned so it's accurate
@@therealf.b.i9468I saw a few onboards with telemetry in qualy and they were carrying much more speed through there, that's the only point which is not accurate.
Imola and Spain are probably the ultimate car knowledge and setup check in this game, you have to know the car setup in every menu because you need soft suspension for the chicane and yet need a stiff one for the fast chicanes it's so much fun...spent 2 hours today and got a 1.15.8 using the rss 2023 mod
what did u change in the setup?
@@ACsim everythings but the bumpstops because I don't what to do with.. softer ABR for the rear, softer fronter suspension,stiffer rear suspension, lower fast bump and fast rebound for the front, lower right hight, less diff coast, no engine brake, max recovery to be able to use Attack mode for the whole lap, high rake ride high...that's the things I could remember now...I'm on the controller so more tweaks are difficult to tell if they were working

@@ACsim experiment with it...everyone drives differently, I was looking for time for the slow chicane and you have to cut it, hence the softer front values
Rss is a bit slow compared to 2024 cars. I was able to do a 1:14.722 with the vrc fa23 after days of practice and setup adjustments

use the vrc for all pole laps i wad 0.002 of the pole lap with the vrc id rather go with performace over looks of the car.
I don't think it has all to do with it, but Verstappen's top speed before Tamburello was 340 kph...
I think Max got a tow from Hulkenberg, which impacted it 👍
While i was watching Qualy i was seeing the times they were making and knew Tom would have a hard time beating pole this time on ACC, this time they´re closer to the F1 23 times

Would be worth trying the RB20 by Ben, it's available either on Deploy's or The High Society servers, based on Deploy's RB19 but would be a lot more capable than the one you used by Suzq

I've done a few test with the RSS 2023 car and I have a pace of 1.18.5 with the fuel load and medium tire so but I have a race setup. So maybe with a less aero and a more "pointy" setup I can it a good quali lap. But I think it's all about the type of setup you've confort with on this track. Every setup can work but not on every car, so try again with the RSS car maybe. And I have a different camera view, I don't see my steering wheel, like in a real f1 factory sim

Not a PC gamer so I have to do these on f1 23 xbox. Been inspired to do this as a way to get back into playing the game more than I have been as of late. I wish the f1 games were harder. I somehow managed to get a 1:14.643 (control user, no assists) after like 12 laps and not being on the game for like a month

I'm pretty sure the finish line for quali is a lot earlier than it is in the game. I think that's where the major chunk of time is
It doesn't matter the circuit doesn't become shorter if you put the start/finish line in a different place.

It doesn't matter where the finish line is, the lenght of the track remains the same. In this case the finish line is further ahead than real life but this also means that Tom's lap starts later than real life.

It makes no difference. The distance of the lap is the same, if the line is further it also means the lap timer starts later.

is it just me or is the finish line further down the straight in this video than in real life? i just looked at some irl onboard f1 clips and f123 clips and it's way further back on both compared to this vid. I think he's wasting 3 seconds getting to the line compared to where it is irl.
