He was the Restaurateur, along with his brothers. But she was included in the business as his wife, then got too big for her britches. She hated having to share the spotlight with Pat, and hated that viewers connected much more with Pat than her. She’s sickeningly desperate for the spotlight, hence all the interviews and tv appearances. The way she talks about Pat in these interviews is rude and disrespectful to the man she was married to for 19 years, and father of her children. But I don’t think Pat has ever said a bad word about her. He’s quietly moved on, remarried and they are expecting a baby. When they divorced, they reportedly each got half of an approx $2M net worth. Pat can continue to be successful in the business without her, by she can’t do it without him. I predict within 20 years, Pat will Buy Gina’s share of their business, Pat will still be in the restaurant business, and probably worth $10M or more, while Gina will burn through her money, and fade into obscurity. She supposedly is still part owner of their restaurants, but hasn’t talked to him in 4 years? How does that work?
It's interesting how he has not gone public about this he just quietly moved on with his life got remarried and has a child on the way. Every chance she gets including on the dating show she was recently on she has to discuss what went on. If you moved on move on.

I sensed that it was something not quite right with the both of them every time I watched their show. It felt staged, fake. Just observing Gina, I could see she really didn't want to be there at all. So I'm not surprised that they split up.

Neely's BBQ is a big part of Memphis Tennessee. I was surprised to hear about the split. I still go to the Neely's restaurants. I really like the food served there and I hope I wish the best for the both of them.

I wonder why Pat Neely has stayed silent regarding this...must be a guy thing...less apt to air feelings and dirty laundry out in public. Onscreen I found Gina to be somewhat abrasive and pushy. Pat seemed to be more likable. I just cannot take Gina’s word for it 100%.
Principe Raphael they broke up while they were in high school even though he was still in love with her. She married someone else and had her oldest daughter, the marriage was abusive and she left. She got back with Pat and they married each other before their daughter together was born, Pat is old school and she is more adventurous, she is a go out with girlfriends and travel type of woman, he's more of a let's stay in and watch movies up under her type dude. She didn't like that, especially after their girls got older. She was just on the Bravo show about dating/ finding love in Paris. My guess is Pat is heartbroken because you could tell that he really loved her, there is a video of him talking about dating and a new cooking show in the works for him. I wish him well, it's hard to lose someone that you've loved that long, only to find out they have no interest in you any longer.
He's being a gentleman. I'm sure he has some dirt on her but because he's a real man, he's letting her go & moving on. Meanwhile, she's roaming around Rome looking for love. Smh.

Have you ever been married? You can’t say what anyone should or should do just because they stood in front of some shyster with a book and said I do. The institution of marriage is tiered and pressurized in this country that steadily becoming third world, unforeseen life problem can cause a marriage to derail no one should be force to stay together because they made a promise to a Christian god that can’t seem to fix this planet and it inhabitants so that there aren’t problems in the first place. Marriage is a state institution that about money period.
I wasn't shocked, I couldn't stand to watch their show, they were too lovely dovey, It was didn't seem real to me. When I heard they slit, I was like, yup, I knew something was off. I wish them well and all, but only other time I felt off about watching people on tv was Demi Lovato, she too look just too help and her smile seemed fake and turned out it was. If you watch her now her smile looks real, not forced like when she was at teen.

YEAH, she was on a reality show called "To Rome for Love" that aired for a few months on BRAVOS network in maybe January, February and March of 2018. She played the hell out of the scorned woman victim card. Made it seem like she had been to hell and back with Pat during their marriage.
Gina was OK during the filming days. Now she's plain ugly, she needs surgery to correct that mouth of hers...it's moving funny when she speaks

They fooled me. I believed all that syrupy, lovey dovey bullshit and while I rolled my eyes at it I still watched the show. When word came out they were getting a divorce I was surprised. The way it came off, he was the difficult one being mean on the set behind the scenes. I don't know if that's true or not.
Martin Warford - Gina belittled Pat alot close to the end of the show. She would come in late, hair all over the place. She told Pat on several occasions that he "talk too much." Talking was a big part of their show. She and her oldest daughter was very mean to him. Her leaving him was the Best.

I have much respect for Pat he never talked about Gina or the marriage she felt the need to put it all out there. I'm glad he kept quiet this in my opinion speaks volumes about Gina she went on a tour. I'm happy that Pat moved on quietly and was able to find peace and happiness with his knew wife and kids.

Discovered this couple on tv one Sunday morning and was blown away by the delicious looking food, but then I began to get the same vibe I got from watching "Jon & Kate Plus 8". Kate would "snipe" at Jon who I considered to be very hen-pecked. For a mature couple, I found the Neely's brand of affection to be tooo cheesy and disingenuous. I soon stopped watching both shows because they irritated the hell outta me.

My opinion on Pat and Gina is you do what you have to for your own happiness and peace it’s not always the right thing to stay together in a relationship that’s breaking you down inside no matter how hard you try or how much you love someone and putting your Children first isn’t always staying together it’s also getting them out of a stressful environment so your Children don’t get caught up in the middle and finding stability , so hold your ground. You did a great show isn’t that what you were suppose to do it wasn’t a reality show.

Yeah all the mushy declarations of love and terms of endearment were sometimes a bit much. It was however a good show and very nice to see what I thought was a successful and happy black couple rich in love, family, and delicious recipes. I even visited their NYC restaurant with my cousins and aunts and enjoyed myself. Like many others I was shocked when down the line they abruptly announced that they were parting ways. I was shocked to see how different they appeared to be on Celebrity Wife Swap. She seemed more laid back and interested in fun and adventure. Pat seemed more uptight,serious, and focused solely on business. When she ( Gina) did her interview and spoke about the demise of the relationship she spoke on how long they had been having problems in the marriage and how unhappy she was even as they were recording show episodes pretending to be so close and in love.. That was shocking.
719kai719 Well said. A lot of couples remain married even though they’re miserable. I get the sense that she initially agreed to continue with the show because she didn’t want to ruin Pat’s chance and perhaps further down the line, the money and what it could provide for her and her family kept her doing the show. I can’t judge her for speaking out or say that he’s the injured party because he’s remained silent. He should be grateful for having the success for as long as he did because Food Network apparently had no interest in him without Gina.

The sad part is they are so few examples of healthy black families, it would’ve been better for them to admit that they were separated like the couple on flip or flop then to lie to everybody
