    Wow! Beavers have really hairy balls! How many beavers do you need to get enough balls for your bows? Can you use some other part of the anatomy of the beavers for this job? 😆. Great tips! Thanks for sharing.

      You can use whatever part of the beaver you want friend. But balls get the best results.

    Wet the hair..saliva works great..kinda comb the hair in the natural direction. then whilst wet.. the whole wrapping process goes mo betta..less of that feel like I'm just gonna pull out my hair.

    String material is the stretch factor not endless loop vs Flemish twist. B55 lots of stretch vs 8125 almost no stretch. Just for accurate information.👍😁

    • @gunshyarchery
      @gunshyarchery  7 месяцев назад +1

      Yup I agree. but apples to apples... a flemish needs to settle more than an endless loop. Even after stretching. I bought PRE stretched flemish and still ended up twisting the string after 20 shots. But absolutely string material is by far the most important. Thanks for your input. 👍

      @@gunshyarchery I wasn’t aware of that . I make Flemish twist strings and I pre stretch them and never had such an issue. Then again I only use spectra 652 and B55 for my string making. Thanks for your response 👍😁🏹🎯

    Im relatively new to trad archery, like 6 yrs. I notice you dont use a stringer..is it safer with a long bow verses a recurve. What kind of bow do you prefer and why? Im trying to learn everythingvI can. Your son looks exactly like his pop. Come to ETAR, in July.

      I'd love to go to etar... just a little far for me. I like the BigStick Archery Gremlins. Nice and short, no hand shock. Quick and look good.
      And yes, my boy is one handsome devil!! thanks!

      I do find it to be easier to string a longbow without a stringer than a recurve. How much "safer" it actually is, I don't really know. But, personally, i do think it's easier with a longbow. However, I very rarely ever string a bow without a stringer, and I always keep a stringer in my quiver, and one in my bag. But I think knowing how to string your bow without a stringer is something worth learning how to do tho.

    Good evening and thanks for the video. As I see the bows, you keep them mounted with their string, when you don't use them? Thank you.

    • @gunshyarchery
      @gunshyarchery  7 месяцев назад

      usually yeah. I try not to go weeks without shooting a bow. If I do, or if its a heavier bow I will unstring it.
