What an album Arise is, it’s my favourite ever album. Sheer brutality. Max and Igor in their prime were brilliant.

Still my fave live dvd. I was 14 when Arise hit and that whole era of seps was such a massive influence on me. Especially ‘Chaos AD’. So much so I formed a seps tribute band with my mates a few years back. Also a huge fan of the Derrick era too. He doesn’t get enough love imo. 🤘🤘🤘🤘

I've got it... I finally figured out how to get a Celtic Frost song through without having to actually pay to introduce people to great music they have not heard previously... Sepultura does a brilliant cover of Celtic Frost's song "Procreation of the Wicked." Oh wait..I would have to sponsor that as well...damn.
I cannot believe this was from over 30 years ago!! OMG! That power and that energy! The 3 albums, Arise, Chaos AD and Roots are probably the 3 albums in their discography. Just brutal!! Love it!

I know Max and everyone except Igor haven't been on speaking terms in decades and the Derek Green era since Max left is awesome in it's own right, and I know they're getting up there in age and Max isn't in the best shape these days, but goddamn what I wouldn't give for ONE tour, or even to see one show at Wacken in Germany or something of this line up again. My dream reunited band. I've seen Sepultura with Derek. I've seen Soulfly a bunch of times and been front row with Max right in front of me. Just haven't haven't seen all the individuals together. Never going to happen, but I can dream.

Awesome!! Sepultura were really on the top of their thrash-game with Arise! I never got into their tribal stuff that started with Chaos A.D. and went full bloom with Roots Bloody Roots.
In the feel and beat they always were tribal in my opinion even in Bestial Devastation and morbid Visions.
I never understood the " thrash " tag completly, yeah at that time they were thrash elements but Sepultura always kept that early Death metal feel they participated to create and developp.
Even there, the heaviness, the sound, the voice, the mood.
It ain't thrash much.
When you see compil of that tour with Sacred Reich and stuff when Sepultura hit the stage, the room get a lot darker, thrn Max " Rooohb" , well you know that Sacred is really a thrash band and Sepultura have some roots and belong into the fierce to Death metal stuff.
Not thrash as people means.
Not to search the beast, but its overall feel ive always have, especially live.
