- In today’s video, we will discuss the SIM900, SIM900A, SIM900B, SIM900D, SIM900R mini version 4. Here also I’m going to upgrade the module by using the mic and speaker option and we will learn how to update the firmware.

I appiled these steps for sim900a but it didn't work, before upgrading the firmware i sent at it respondeded with ok but after upgrading it didn't respond at all?

Doesnt go beyond 'Please power up the target'. I disconnect SIM900a (v. 3.8.2) beforehand and only when this message appears do I power it ON using separate power supply. Tried different baudrates.
Works fine with NodeMCU ESP8266 but no way to update firmware using Arduino IDE.
Got any tips for this issue?
USE the ttl connection's vcc(5v) & gnd to power up the gsm module. make all the wire connections and bring the app up to the "please power up target" point. then.., don't remove the ttl connection. remove only the vcc wire and connect it back. the flashing process will then start.
