It would be interesting if you would do a comparison between the Raptar ES Lite and the PEQ-16B.
I've read about a delay to light when activating. 1/4 or 1/2 a second. Can the delay be programmed out?
Just a heads up for anyone thinking about buying the Lite ES version. There is a delay in the activation of ALL the functions. (Laser, IR Flood, and White Light) I have contacted Wilcox about this but have yet to hear back from them. If you need this laser where you might have to stake your life on it, I would pass. The time delay could be the difference between life and death. Completely unuseable for CQB/Home Defense or competition but may be fine for hunting.
How do you program the ES to utilize yards instead of meters?
Stupid question, is the rangefinder useable during daylight shooting? Just to clarify, the readout can be read and such without NVGs? And have you found it accurate enough for shooting with a precision rifle? I guess I am just curious if a piece integrated into the gun can replace conventional rangefinding set ups.
Not a stupid question at all. You could use the range finder during the day, but the problem is, you're not going to be able to tell what you're ranging. It is accurate enough for precision rifle applications. Hope this helps!
i was literally thinking the same thing
Can you replace the surefire head with a different head, like one of their ultra series?
Not currently.
Why oh why don't they put the laser over the bore axis and put the controls to one side

I will take my MAWL ELAD over this any day of the week.
Difference between this and the Steiner DBAL?
DEBAL costs significantly less, does not have range finding capabilities, and is smaller.
Both are boxes on top of your rail. Hard pass for me.
