I love CBA as the, "I don't have a lot of time right now, but I could play a game of CBA" kind of game. The only problem is it usually goes longer than if I had just played a 1 v 1.
A good custom scenario I used to play was called "Ancient Towers", basically it was a tower defence game. 7 players defended one player had unlimited units popping out. This is if it was played with 8 players. You could also play it single player with the AI on either side. You had monks at the start to get different units for you and gold if you were a defender. Gold obviously to buy resources with your market like stone to create more towers.
Sounds like all those various Escape maps that AoM's multiplayer scene had. (Though I'll say that Escape maps were usually 4v2 - four hiders with vills, two hunters which each had a temple to train myth units from. There were also true TD maps, but Escape sounds closer to this particular description)
Thank you T90 for feeding me CBA content that I have been pestering you for the past 2 years since your last CBA video. Long live CASTLE BLOOD AUTOMATIC
@@electronichq974 or they all mass resign. My last game of CBA was when I had three spanish team mates (I know this as they spoke spanish to me). Now being not spanish and only knowing one or two words in spanish, I was like can we speak english? They refused, except one of them. He was cool. But as the match went on and I wasn't chatting so much (I am concerntrating, I can't do two things at once), they got angry over me not responding. Even though I was doing what they said to do. I think I was the huns and was setting up raises for the other team, which I thought I was doing quite well at before then they all resigned at once. Well, except the cool guy who stayed and went it "wasn't your fault" and then left. But that made me not want to play anymore...guess i am too old nowadays.
Hell yes more. So refreshing to see something different and new. I've only ever played a couple of CBA and some weird vampire game version (had to click relics to 'buy' things) on voobly back in the day. Would love to learn more about our very diverse community. I remember my early days of online play: black Forrest on GAME RANGER before I found voobly(hype). So many rules like 'no rush' and bits that people need to know or understand. You've done so much to help people get connected. Growing up with the disc version and no possible internet to play online, to zeroempires showing me the world still played, and you hooking up a community to live HC5 in London. So awesome. Great work T90. Aside from learning about the scene, this game was also just really fun to see!
i think my adhd and brainrot levels stem from the 200 hours of CBA i played back in 2017 while listening to random music feeling nostalgic today thx t90
Because I don't think T90 fully exlained it: "Set" means to take a building down to a very low HP and then stop your units from attacking so another player on your team can get the raze. Probably everyone knows that already, but just in case there are new players here, that's what it means. Basically, setting someone else up to get a raze.
In the HD edition Tarkans were super OP, you would just try to sneak under the gates and surround someone's castle and hammer it down in seconds. Even smarter was to have another player block the path so enemy units can't reach you while the Tarkans were next to the castle.
Hey t90! Love these “extracurricular” game modes! CBA, CA, CBA ffa, and Forrest nothing are my favorites. Maybe on the next one you could explain how the relics work for new players. It took me a long time to figure that stuff out. 👍
yes, please more cba games! Just started playing it 4 days ago again and its just fast and fun and can be unexpectedly intricate :D Cheers from Austria 🙃
Thanks for posting this, I found this very enjoyable and a good intro video if I want to try to join one of those lobby's. I would love to see more scenario based content. I would especially be interested in some of the LOTR and GOT maps that are out there.
During MSN Gaming-Zone I don't remember having played any version with villagers, but heroes, castles only and sometimes versions popping a few barracks, stables and archeries yes. I remember a last one where you could buy a lot of different kinds of units on the side of the map.
I always enjoy spectating CBA games. It's pretty much 'the main' scenario being played 'most' of the time. (There are others of course.) I think the second most popular would be (Tower) Defense. (a few different ones. FVD, ATD, Jurassic Park, etc.) Also, the '7v1 scenarios' has been growing in popularity as well. (They are pretty cool.)
Hi T90, long time lurker, I loooove CBA, its how I started playing the game on GameRanger about 15 years ago, please make more of this content! Also, some path blood games would be epic!
I used to play CB version called Rambit, with towers in the middle and with kills you would get kings u could use to buy heroes to spawn. I loved that scenario
Im so glad this mod is finally getting attention. CBA is one of the oldest multiplayer mods, and it feels nostalgic when watching this, although it was like 10 years ago
I really enjoyed the CBA coverage. I mostly watch for the normal matches but I really enjoy the every once in a while different modes (especially exploding kings). I'd say mix CBA into the rotation every once in a while and I'd be happy.
18:50 They have ALL upgrades. Saracens and Japanese are the ONLY civs in the game that have all units in the archery range with full upgrades. (Excluding elephant archers, of course, who are a regional unit)
@aaronshumate7211 if you change your server filter to "custom games" they show up pretty often, but not all the time. In my experience the most active times for lobbies are 6pm-11pm EST.
@aaronshumate7211 Most people playing on east/westus servers play deleting allowed, I only ever see people complain about it on other servers in the late night or morning (relative to EST). There's also cba 6x techs, cba front towers, and cba kingte. I prefer the kind shown in this video, CBA_Requiem.
Do more of CBA...First time to see this so interested to watch where the other team isnt as handicapped (if I can call it as that) as Green was on this.
I spammed CBA and CBA heroes back in 2015ish on HD. I remember in most lobbies the host would kick if people set civs unless they were known bad civs that the person just liked to play.
Love to see more of it! wish there was a better matchup game were we can see more of the unique ness of how to play up rather than just an immediate GG because of civ pick.
I would like to see more CBA content, I prefer cba hero imo its more balanced. btw for the ones curious about cba, this game was kind of mid-high level but as OG cba player I can tell thats not most high level cba game. CBA focused on team play and encountering units, you already saw patrol & setting up razes, if the game had different civs like huns, teutons, goths etc. you could also see how you need to prevent rushes stand ground your own units to protect your teammates castles etc. and cba hero is whole different beast, its more balanced imo but still depending on civs it still can be unfair, but it has more options to mitigate the bad civ matchups.
i used to watch my older brother play it on age of conquers i really loved the game mode , but i can't seem to find it for hd edition does anyone know where to find it?
Could you also introduce your audience to the blood maps of CS? A lot of people put efforts to make them and I feel they aren't much appreciated. Especially RCB, Dome Blood etc.
I used to join these games by accident on HD edition and had no idea what was going on
That almost doesn't make sense and I almost don't believe you, but considering the game is in-depth, it makes sense.
I haven't played a CBA game in years, but I remember the meta as if it was yesterday.
Yeah and then everyone insults you because you dont know what the heck you are supposed to do
looks like garbage.

thats because the real sentiment is i dont have the energy to play 1v1 but i could play a cba
It lasts from 15 minutes all the way to an hour at most.

Right! One wrong move and they'll start a campaign to get you kicked 😂
That's what made me loose interest in CBA tbh.

It looked like a cockroach outbreak in a restaurant. I had no idea what was happening.
Really missed this CBA content. Cant wait for more!
Saracens in fact have fully upgraded Heavy Cavalry Archers, and are one of just 2 civs in the game with all of the archery range upgrades.
Make me cba content
CBA and Jurassic Hunt was pretty much the only two things I played back in the Voobly days. So this hits me with some nostalgia.

Who invented CBAhero?
Me 😁
Love CBA, more CBA games for sure.
Man back in the day, THE LAG WAS REAL. So much hate on the high ping players 😂
Unionized villagers? Never thought I'd see a Collective Bargaining Agreement in AoE2.

I'm a huge fan of the various different custom games people make and would love to see more stuff like this and maybe even some other stuff
I appreciate this kind of content. I have never heard about this kind of content and I just realized it may be helpful for improving micro skills.
Always open to see some more CBA or any scenarios really. Seeing our beloved games range all explored.
Somehow missed this when it first went up but it was a lot of fun to watch!
this was great! I love the custom stuff like this, I once joined a similar game and was totally lost, this helped in case i ever join one of these
Wow this brings back some memories from back in the day. This was basically all that I played online because I sucked at PVP

love the mix up with you casting CBA
@T90Official you should mix in 1 CBA or special scenario a week. Then throw any other good ones you see in the extras channel
More of this please. Fun content.
my favourite mode , glad you uploaded this , ty
love watching these right when i get home from work
I've never played CBA because every lobby says no noobs and I'm afraid
