the whole asterix the gaul series is such a gift. the translators did a fantastic job from the original french, and i still laugh at the all little side jokes after these years.
I find it amusing how when the Gauls DOESN'T have the magic potion, they get out of breath while the Romans, having ran the same distance with full equipment and all, are not tired. Makes sense. Roman soldiers underwent some serious training and was incredibly versatile as a military in general.
@@mifigor1935 I mean, some of them had training. Asterix is skilled with his sword, and Geriatrix is a veteran of the Gallic Wars (tho tbf he was old when Asterix and Obelix were born).

Not sure I totally dig the voices they chose. They should've opted for more creative ones like those they used in the Asterix discovers America cartoon.
Plus, the voices are mixed in a way that doesn't contextualise them most of the time. They feel added on afterwards, not having been made beforehand. They are put on top, instead of blending in with the animation (i.e. characters moving around the screen, left to right, or further away to closer in, but their voices sound like they're in the exact same place). Feels... REALLY low-budget.
It’s not JUST the missing tile, either. The lines of the Architect’s legs have noticeable dips in them where none should exist, and many of the rays of light do, too.
