Totally. I remember last Friday when I won on this show, AGAIN, and I always find myself triple-checking the question even though I know the answer right away. You'd think since it's something that happens to all of us, it wouldn't be so overwhelming, but it is... oh boy how it is.

Yeah once in school on a exam I found myself checking 10 times if I'm reading correctly abd as it turned out I was right and 11.1, 11.2 and 11.3 all had the same letter as the answer (think it was C but it's been over 7 years so...)

He played to win a million Bucks for his mother. In fact, the show did let his mother know, and Kevin thanked her and the rest of the family for supporting him. He even quoted somebody on saying "I chose the right parents" in reference to the amount of luck they had.

He's just cultured enough to not behave compulsively. If you're unable to control your emotions, and still act with logic, then you're just a slave to your programming and actually can lead to very illogical actions.

Gotta say massive props to this show for building suspense and tension so well with the background music
I think the beauty of it is the fairness. It's not warping your mind with endorphins like a slot machine or a scratch card or a timeshare pitch for a free toaster. You have to think, and stop, and evaluate the risk and if you know the answer and can live with the loss. It is fair. I think it saved a lot of people a lot of money who didn't get carried away and lost on a 1 in 4 guess. You go for it, you knew you were ready for it because the music didn't lie to you.

The most exciting moment besides him winning the 1 million was her reaction. She was really happy for the man. Such a nice woman.
He shows how you should not rush through decisions, even when you feel sure. He was allowed time and he took it. I love his analysis that in the heat of the moment it is conceivable that you may misread the question.

also amazing is that for the previous question, he phoned a friend who gave their answer with 80% confidence, but he decided to go against the friend's advice anyway and got it correct.
That is because these types of shows are staged. They are only partially real, similar to a typical reality show.

It is also possible they only gave major hints to the answers, as to make it more believable, and so that the person would not confess they had been given the answers later. There are all sorts of tricks that can be done.

i remember he had a question for 500k i think, and he phoned a friend, who gave an answer, but he went for something else going by his gut instincts, and he got it right. damnedest thing i ever saw.
He did the same thing here... When he heard meat inspector the first time he was nodding and he shook his head for the rest of the answers, even though he wasn't sure. Some people are smarter than they think. They just doubt themselves too damn much.

Jesse Patrick If he didn't have that creepy-old-man long gray hair and beard thing going on, he'd look WAY more like 53. I don't get why gray hair dudes would ever, ever grow out their hair like that. It's endearing when you actually are like 70, but when you're in your early 50s, it's so weird and it completely robs you of any youth you may have left. My dad's 63 and he looks about 20 years younger that that guy looks...because he has short hair and he's in good shape and he doesn't talk like Santa Claus.
