Dathotness4ya Since Puerto Rico is technically a U.S. territory, the currency is the same as in the U.S. (although the language isn't). Also, 36 pesos are approximately a dollar, therefore, the accurate amount of pesos he would have said is 3359525.00 pesos. Robbie Hoodies What exactly was your case against? That's what I'm wondering. My point was that Jose doesn't look like a Mexican (although Mexicans have several races and looks to them) and if I had to guess, I would say he isn't Mexican. I never said Puerto Rico's currency was in pesos or even spoke of the size of Hispaniola and, if anything, that just further shows the foolishness of RealTaco87's comment by stating that Puerto Rico uses dollars and not pesos. Sounds like you are debating with or talking to yourself. I learned one thing in my military career and that is you can never make assumptions about anyone’s level of knowledge, even what some might deem just common sense. I supervised young recruits that didn’t know the basics of cooking, driving a car, managing a checking account, or paying taxes. Some of those young kids came straight out of school and still living under their parents roofs. They knew absolutely nothing about adulting. I suspect this was the same scenario with this young Navy recruit.

I wish they did a "Where Are They Now" show on Jose.
"Bob, you don't even have to present my showcase. I bid $1. I'll be over there next to my prizes when you finish."
Such a perfect moment. The fact the audience went SILENT the moment he made his first bid, the fact that she knew how she was gonna run away with this by only bidding a dollar, the fact he was so smug about beating her one dollar bid; just all so hilariously perfect!
Did she win both or just hers? How do u win both I see it 1nce guy one both? How?
Ronnie Turner, if I remember right, the contestant wins both if their guess is within $100

There was nothing better than watching this show while sick on a school day at your grandparents house. A rite of passage!
I had this same thought. I got to see it almost daily because I faked sick at least twice a week. Price is Right and then the Young and the Restless baby! Great memories!!!😂
@@gmintraining4597 twice a week? i faked it maybe 2 or 3 times a year, but twice a WEEK??!!?! my family definitely would have rushed me to a doctor if they believed i was sick that much..

To be fair and looking back, it likely wasn’t every week, but it felt like it. Good thing I was good at retaining information or I probably wouldn’t be past the third grade right now. LOL
So fun. I remember looking forward to times like that when I could watch this show. It was my favorite game show, by far. Just something about watching it as a kid that made it extra special.
Sick day TV was the best. Price is Right, Sanford and Son, Diffen’t Strokes, The Jeffersons, The Facts of Life. And warm soup, toast, and ginger ale. If you were feeling better, a fried egg sandwich.
JOse was probably thinking 250000 pesos
Ya lol!
He most likely isn't Mexican, smart one. He's most likely Puerto Rican, Cuban, Dominican, or even Colombian.
***** Humanity
Your value.
Dathotness4ya Since Puerto Rico is technically a U.S. territory, the currency is the same as in the U.S. (although the language isn't). Also, 36 pesos are approximately a dollar, therefore, the accurate amount of pesos he would have said is 3359525.00 pesos. In conclusion, TheRealTaco wasn't off by much considering his Dyslexia and Illiterate dialog. Random Fact: The island of Hispaniola, the second largest island in the Caribbean, contains two separate countries; the Dominican Republic and Haiti. I rest my case, goodbye.
Overall, any average person reading the original comment would think that RealTaco87 would be thinking Jose is Mexican, which most people would find confusing, wrong, foolish, and possibly even ignorant.
2:59… his face the look of a man who knows without a doubt he will scoop both showcases!
And then completely shocked and confused to why he lost 🤣 🤣
Dude probably went into the military right after highschool and has been living on a ship/dorm rooms the entire time. He probably has no idea how much furniture costs in the slightest.
That's the stupidest excuse ever. How does one reach the age of 18 without knowing what a couch or a motorcycle costs? That's pure stupidity.
ThriceDice You don't have to purchase one. It's life experience.
Even Big Lots sells furniture. They have big price signs on it.
THATS1CK He may have lived a poor life. Not getting to experience much of "shopping." Don't be so quick to say that everyone should know the price of furniture. He joined straight into the military probably, and after that... the rest is history.
Epicookiez It's a game show based on the contestants knowledge of common products values, dumbass deserves every negative comment spouted from peoples mouthes.

He was bidding in Peso's. In the time period, 60,000 Pesos was roughly $18,000. It was actually a good bid.
Foolish and ridiculous
hahahahahahaha!!! my good man, you made me laugh!!
You know.... you might be right.
But $250k Peso would have been near $70k USD! So not a good original bid. Plus, this is the end of the show - after he bid and won to get on stage, and after he played his game, and after he spun the wheel to possibly win more money. By the end, he’s gotta know they’re using USD as currency.
@@stephen3164 ummm...i think fanpremium was joking about the pesos.

Jose's like, "Dumb bitch only bid $1?! Don't she know nothin' bout money!?"

OMG lolol you're right.
And even if they reduced his guess to 60,000
Cause she knew his was over loll
its a shame ..jose really thought he had it !!
My guess is Jose peeled a lot of potatoes and swabbed a lot of decks in his navy days. I'm not sure he worked in the nuclear sub engineering division.
+Bill Brown stick out your thumb
+Bill Browne Actually he did. Right after that show he was promoted to ship's captain.
Pilots (officers) get their WINGS, Growler6t9. Enlisted don't. No way that idiot is, was, or ever will be a pilot.
Bill Browne hopefully he does not coordinate nuclear anything. Heaven forbid he is tasked with a missile launch based on his projections. No telling where it would hit????
I like that his bid of 250,000 wouldn't have even fit on the showcase podium because it's limited to 5 digits, but somehow he thought all that stuff cost the same as a house.
A pretty nice house back then
A _house???_ That musta been a LONG time ago! 😄
A VERY nice but small Mansion! Only cost $100,000 back then!

Bob was like "there's not enough spots to put 250,000 on the board"
I learned one thing in my military career and that is you can never make assumptions about anyone’s level of knowledge, even what some might deem just common sense. I supervised young recruits that didn’t know the basics of cooking, driving a car, managing a checking account, or paying taxes. Some of those young kids came straight out of school and still living under their parents roofs. They knew absolutely nothing about adulting. I suspect this was the same scenario with this young Navy recruit.
How Jose made it to the Showcase Showdown is beyond me.
R.I.P. Bob Barker
He spun a wheel and got closest to 100. Do you guys even watch the show?
Plus:
1) Guess correctly on Contestants Row
2) Odds-on had to successfully complete his game which involves, going out on a limb here, correctly guessing prices
@@scsperayou get a spin whether you successfully complete your game or not. So it’s possible he bombed his pricing game as well.
Im guessing ppl like your RIP bob comment because the rest of it is brainless like this guy on the show. It's not Rocket science to spin a wheel. He could have accidentally gotten a price closest without going over to get on stage. Bombed the game and spun the wheel. That's how. Watch the show learn something.
What happened to him afterwards?

She knew that José went over, and that meant that as long as she didn’t overbid as well, she would win the showcase. When you know you have it in the bag, $1 is an easy and safe bid.
The poor kid never bought anything more than a few hundred dollars in his life. He was serving and beyond worrying about the cost of junk.
