I really like this dark blue of the bezel and dial. The bezel looks more like aluminium rather than ceramic; Aquatico deserves credit for it! I agree about the absence of quick release springbars, they should be the norm by now! The caseshape is pretty reminiscent of the Seiko MM300s. But overall not a clear homage if you ask me! For over 350$ one should expect a PT5000 or a miyota 9000 series movement, yes. Or a caseback glazed with sapphire crystal. Maybe they have cut too many corners for the price, lume is amazing tho! I should add, a year ago, they offered it on a bracelet, for the same price if not a bit cheaper. It’s good looking watch, build quality seems excellent, maybe at a bit of a discount on AliExpress… In summary, a good piece, with a pretty original design, but not on the cheap side! sorry, a 40 USD NH35 & china parts for > 350 USD + Customs + Duty is out any price range personally acceptable... - even if made using swiss luminova... - but overall a well looking watch using a catchy brand name. Lets see how they get positioned at market...
excellent review. i just ordered one and await it anxiously. difference of opinion on the pricing regarding 2 points. first, price is not really $359 USD. aquatico usually has an at least 20% off discount going, and at times 30%. i missed the 30% on Easter, and emailed them to say i would be buying a week later, and would they be able to honor the Easter 30%, which they did by sending me a coupon good for the following week. excellent customer interaction. but further, i've had the miyota 9000 series, plus i have many Swiss Selitta divers, and i have really come to appreciate the often better accuracy i get out the box from an NH35 vs a selitta. both the Selitta and miyota can be regulated very accurately as can the NH35, which i find easily done myself with the NH35. so then, the difference become cost over time, and as we all know an NH35 can be run for 10yrs straight with minimal loss of accuracy, and then simply swapped with a brand new NH35 bought on the net, for probably 35% less than servicing it. so i've come full circle in preferring the NH35 vs the higher cost to service movements (despite the lower NH35 beat rate). GreaT review, and videography...just some subjective response to the price comments. cheers.

Not very impressive overall. Perhaps if it were priced at 240 dollars But certainly not over 300. The PD Daytona Homage is due to arrive next week. I look forward to wearing it. The lack of AR coating on the PD Tudor BB Chrono homage is a real let down. In addition - the hands and dial being so close in color, it’s difficult to read the time in low light conditions.
