Lovely! I've been having so much fun with Violette FR - fun to see others using it!
I am more and more enamored with this brand. Inspiring and innovative!
That petal bouche is gorgeous, you're so pretty! I wish I could find a red with this color in bullet form because I'm an on-the-go gal. Although I can apply this ok at home, I cannot for the life of me apply this outside because of the fussy application. I would sell my soul to find a bullet dupe, but no luck so far. The search continues...
Owhhh oki maybe check out these two lippies
1. Lisa Eldridge Velvet ribbon
2. Les Filles en rouje lip stylo shade Jeanne
Both of these come very close.❤️💋
@@sonia.butler Thank you so much for the recommendations! Fingers crossed I finally find my long awaited Amour Fou in bullet form!
@@Mangamusicfangirl I have a short I recently did in my channel that shows ribbon. I also have a long form video with the stylo in Jeanne so you can check it out on me as well. ❤️
@@sonia.butler Thank you so much! I shall then look up the mentioned videos and compare :)
@Mangamusicfangirl i do want to stress the velvet formula from lisa eldridge is amazing but a little prone to breakage coz its a fragile formula. I think the stylo from les filles en rouje is much more travel friendly. Also slim stylo format❤️
omg so happy to have found your page! been wondering what is the difference when side by side with Westman Atelier :)
Welcome! Its nice dabbling in the more unknown brands. Still love Violette_FR!
So excited to watch this video, I’m a huge fan of Violette and I have almost all the products from her brand. Even though I love the colors she comes out with I don’t love the matte Yeux Paints, they’re also too pigmented for me and I notice that when I use them my eyelids start getting dry patches, I do love Petite Culotte though because it definitely is the easiest one to use and not as warm/orangey as the other lighter ones, I also agree that the Petal Bouche isn’t easy to use either, I always see her using her products so effortlessly which definitely hasn’t been my experience I feel like I need quite a bit of time and caution in order to not make a mess😅, but still I just can’t resist her products she makes everything seem so amazing 😣. I was so curious to see the blush in Louise next to WA’s Mimi so I’m so grateful that you showed them side by side, I got the other two shades and I think they’re lovely I only wish they didn’t have a fragrance. Hope you’re well, thank you for sharing!
I agree with everything! I find it was overall a bit of a struggle but the look came together well. I enjoy the aesthetics and she makes me excited for the brand. With the Matte yeux paint i have basically adapted the one dot method. Its too much work otherwise. The lips are a struggle for me. Some say to really try and get all the product of the applicator before you apply it but even then I am still like 🤡. So lip brush it is for now.
Sometimes you got to experience a brand for yourself and this is the case for me. My comment section seems wildly divided between people loving the brand despite its flaws and beind disappointed. I am happy i get to bond over both. Its makeup but it does bring us together. Like shared experiences.
@@sonia.butler I totally agree, for everyone the experience can be different and that's good because sometimes it can provide some tips that can improve our experience with the brand. For me, it is also one of the brands that excite me the most, I always feel like when I go to an art supplies store, I love the colors and the textures and this element of playing around and being creative because I'm usually super boring with my makeup, but I do wish it was a bit easier to use, with the matte Yeux Paint I also definitely do the one dot method and in my case that I have drier lids and prefer creamier formulas I make sure I have a bit more eye cream on so it blends more easily and sheerly, with the Petal Bouche I find the new applicator a bit better than the original one because that one was even harder to use but I think I'll try it out with a lip brush because I have super thin lips so putting on a bold lip is definitely even more of a struggle! Thank you for sharing, hope you're well!
Really like how natural and skin like the blush is. And the metallic eye paint looks really good as a liner
I have not been able to put the blush down. I really enjoy it! I can imagine its not everyones cup of tea but its definitely mine
What a sultry look on you, reow! 🔥 You know I love you in a darker lip, and this red is perfection on you. Love the eye look you created as well. I have both of those Yeux Paints, but I haven't tried a look like this yet. Today I wore Tout Doux and put a sparkly shimmer shade on top! I agree that the matte Yeux Paints are more intensely pigmented than the Twinkling ones. Her new releases have me in a chokehold. 😬💜
Good to know about the blush as that's the one product of hers I haven't tried (along with the highlighter). I love a blushy moment, so it does sound too light and sheer for my liking. Thanks for such a fun and informative video! ❤️😘
Whenni saw the new releases i thought about you! A perfect color!
I really enjoyed making this video and just exploring the brand. I love the blush myself haha but i know people that love a strong blush would be underwhelmed. The juxtaposition of the pigmented eye paints and petal Bouche and the blush was interesting to me.
But the look was very sultry!
I love the lip product and the LE Ribbon liner is perfect with either color. It is drying but the red is particularly striking. I added some Queen Musia Dorian lipstick in middle to give my lips a little slip - I'm going to see if they have a red. I wish I could find a matte lip balm to work with these drying matte reds. The blushes are nice, and yes, balmy compared to WE and others. My face eats cream blush/bronzer, so I have to prime well and top with powder to get it to stay on for more than an hour. That's just me though, they're as nice as most cream blushes & the colors are sophisticated. Thanks for this review.
Lisa! Maybe a matte lip balm you can look into is the chanel rouge coco baum? If you have a department store where you can check out the consistency. It's an interesting formula. The color versions are quite long-lasting as well. I have the clear version and a red.
Thanks for such a detailed comment ❤️
@@sonia.butler I’ll check it out. Thanks!
I love the look you created! I bought one of the original colors when the Yeux Paint first launched and gave it away mostly because the color didn't suit me but I agree- the formula is NOT user friendly like the brand keeps saying. It is too pigmented and can get quite messy. Same goes for the liquid lipstick. I absolutely love the shade but the formula is tricky and I typically need my finger or a brush to clean things up. For reference, I never have issues using a red lipstick straight from the bullet.
I like using a lip liner but i have red lip products that indeed are perfect in application. My les filles en rouje lip stylo comes to mind. This was such a struggle.
This brand is very divided. Some love it and others find it toooo fussy. I am in the middle. I like the performance but i am not big on the application.
The blush is sheer and i love it. Again, wouldn't recommend to everyone.
I love her blushes and the Yeux Paints are my favorite one and dones! Great video! I also really love the longevity/shelf life-24 months, it’s great if you have one too many blushes. Lol. Got the deepest one but I’d love to grab Ines or Luisa for the summer.
I feel like this brand is wildly divided. I like the aesthetic and like the wear time on them. There is lots to love! I really enjoy the blush ❤️❤️❤️❤️ happy we get to bond over this brand
Nice video!! I had the same problem with the lipstick. The trick is to remove a lot of the product from the applicator. Once you do that, you can use the applicator as a liner very easily and precisely. With the leftover of lipstick - that you have removed you can use it to fill the lips to get a mess-free red lips
Thank you for the tip! Also nice to know i am not alone. I am wearing it again today. Its a nice formula! I am quite happy with my order ❤️
The look you created is beautiful! ❤ I love violette’s vibe but my experience with the brand has been underwhelming. I found the eye paint to be too fussy to use ( I mean, she literally used a wet wipe in her demo 😂) .. the blush was barely there with a scent I didn’t care for .. and the matte lip balm was extremely drying (although I will try it again in summer). Overall, it’s maybe too French girl chic for me 😅 but I want the brand to work for me so badly!
I get you! I had high hopes and I like how the look came together but it wasnt an easy look imo. I too struggled a bit. I am happy i tried the yeux paints before i filmed coz the first time i was really struggling.
I dont remember my blush havig a scent. I really like Louise but it is very fair. So i can understand its not everyones cup of tea.
I did some prepping of my lips before the video. It is a drying formula but it especially was difficult to work with.
Overall i do like the aesthetic and the wear time of the products. I like the vibe but not for every day!
Pretty look Sonia!!❤️❤️ I cannot apply red lipstick to save my life!!
This one was particularly difficult haha. An easier formula is the Les Filles en Rouje Jeanne Stylo for if you are into the french girl vibe.
I enjoyed the brand and doing this review but it was not easy!
I have been using this brand and love it! I have the blush in ines and would be so pretty on you.
I love the blush! I am wearing it today as well. I am very pleased with my order. Such an interesting brand to get to know
@@sonia.butler Do you think that the Westman mimi is darker than Louise?
@@ninagapusan6025 not much darker in tone but mimi is darker if pigment and buildable so more apparent on the face.
Uhhhh!! Always been curious about this brand! Want to try these products.
Its such a fun brand to dive into coz its sort of an island in the makeup world. It does its own thing. I enjoyed all the products in their own right regardless if it wasnt always easy.
Also my husbant loved the look and that says a lot always!
@@sonia.butler If the hubby liked the look then you have a definite winner! 💖
I want to try the Yeux Paints mostly. The lipsticks look lovely, but I am going through a nudie liner and lip gloss mood at the moment. I have so many bold lippies from Lisa that i have not worn in almost a year!!
Thanks for the review, you always do such a great job and are very informative and looking wonderful as always. 🥰
