Great demo. Pleasant voice, concise and to the point teaching style. I’m a new quilter and I find your videos so helpful and pertinent to my situation.
Thank you. The fabrics you used are lovely. I wonder if I mastered some simple free motion if I would enjoy the quilting part more. Some youtube quilters go to town on free motion and don't seem to get puckers.
I know this is an old video - but if people are pinning a large quilt then remember to either stagger the pins, or rotate the pins 90 degrees on the next row of pins; the reason being that if all of the pins are facing the same way, and/or in a row, the layers can shift along the lenth of the pin all the way across the quilt - causing puckering/wrinkles as you work it through your sewing machine
Great video... Thanks. I'm luvky.... My quilting group routinely pin basted quilts for each other.... We meet in a church, so there are nice bug tables to use.... Nice...
Great, but notice so many demo on a very small quilt. When sandwiching a large double it a totally different balk game. Please give up hints and tips for a large quilt, more importantly demo a large quilt.
Oh my gosh ! You corrected all my errors in binding with layers thank you

Hi, I’m using Hobbs 80/20 and it’s pretty thin, I was thinking about using 2 layers of batting, what do you think? My first quilt..
I've never done it, but I've heard from other people who have and they say it works great.
Wendi Gratz thank you Wendy
Great videa I'm ready to do my first quilt sandwich...But I guess I got to finish the back first :)
@Ellene613 I'm glad it was helpful!
Yeah. Got to do that back first. :-)
Thank you Wendi
It is is painful for sure. I stopped doing that to myself! I will only make smaller quilts or lap quilts 💜💜💜

I use a small quilt so you can see the whole thing in the screen. I do large quilts the exact same way - just on the floor instead of a table.
I hate it when these videos show you on a a 12' x 12' piece....
