I live in Texas, and even I believe not only should this DA resign, she should be arrested. Any other private citizen would have been arrested for failure to comply, would not have had the luxury of calling the police chief, who himself should be investigated for having called the officer on site, during a real time event, and given the DA's movements in and out site of officers on scene, would likely have been roughed up out of concern that the DA was looking for/obtained a weapon. Comments about this being a racial issue are a distraction. This is someone who believes she is above the law (her words and actions support that), who cannot handle stress (which is why she should be removed), and who needs to have all of her cases reviewed for bias.

The officer did not immediately arrest her because he knew who she was and her authority as a DA, the officer allowed her to take total control of the situation, and became willing to accept her disobedience of all his commands and accepted all her perverted verbal abuse towards him, then the officer became more subservient to her, obeying her commands to call his police chief and other higher ups to excuse her behavior and actions. Yeah, she had no intention to use her position, but then she got drunk and her judgment was impaired. But we never know about that because they failed to give her a breathalyzer or anything of that like our system is so screwed up.

I guess the acronym "FOS" was coined for instances like this, because nothing else sums her "apology" up better.

She even said “it’s ridiculous “ being stopped coz she is the DA and asking to talk to the sheriff. Ordinary people are handcuffed and sent to jail. Why the special treatment?

An abuse of power of the worst kind…..a person who passes judgement on this type of behavior is herself shows she may have prosecuted with ill intentions on many of her cases and they should be rejoined by another person
