Thank You for posting this ! I found an old wagner in the basement and it didn't work so I took it apart as was shown in the video and cleaned it out a bit and sure enough it seems to work now !
J'ai le w 300E et c'est pareil , il faut que le pot de peinture soit a la même hauteur que le pistolet pour que ça fonctionne ,j'ai installé un clapet anti retour sur le tuyau et c'est mieux ....

My Wagner 235 won't prime from the 5ft long hose. Sprays ok when the cup is attached, but won't pull from hose to drink directly from a gallon bucket.
