China is such a beautiful country. Her people are thrifty and industrious. Someone once said of China: "If you can't feel for these people, you can't feel anything for the world." It is, however, so sad to see the US government paint China in such unsavory terms. I guess the US and some western nations are afraid of China's unprecedented growth. I say, LONG LIVE CHINA!

Jason, you guys are introducing the most beautiful scenery of China. These "cormorant" (鸕鶿, luci in Chinese), raised and trained by fisherman, are rewarded with fish after “work”. Birds and fisherman are definitely bonded and inter-dependent. The work schedule for the birds are usually 8am-12pm, according to local fisherman.

Copper ring around cormorant's neck will probably sink the poor bird into the water, who came up with the silly goose idea ?!

This bird is called "鸬鹚“ (cormorant).
They don't fly away because they are raised by the fisher man since they were eggs.
The first animal seen by the young chicks of the birds, is recognized as their "mother".
"Why don't the birds fly away?"... "They have to work..." I guess the birds have to work to pay for house mortgage, just like me.

Jason, you one of honest guy, even fish smell stink normally the smell is the signature of that fish, the fresh water fish is not only fresh from the lake but special unique taste.
The bird is called " 鱼鹰“(yu ying), they will eat the small fish they caught, the bigger fish will be for the fisherman; there is a circular ring on their neck so big fish can't be swallow to their stomach. Thank you for your beautiful videos since I can't go back to China now.

At 10:56, the tour guide was explaining about the administrative hierarchy of the old Huizhou, which consist of 6 counties. The southern most county was reallocated to Jiangxi province briefly in 1934 and then permanently in 1949, because the access to that county is much easier from the southwest than from the northeast.
The giant wall map shows how that southwest county is completely blocked off by mountains and rivers.

Those birds are cormorants. Fishermen use them to fish by constricting their throats with a ring to prevent them from swallowing the fish they've caught with their beak. The fisherman recover the fish by making the birds regurgitate the fish stuck in their ringed throat.
