The clothes they were trying on were called Hanfu, the traditional costume of the Han nationality, one of the Chinese costumes. The man is wearing a Ming Dynasty Hanfu named Tieli（贴里）. The woman wears a tang dynasty style dress, named Heziqun（诃子裙）.
Traditional Hanfu has been greatly developed in the Ming Dynasty, but in the Qing Dynasty, such Hanfu disappeared, because the rulers were not Han people, they were Manchu, so the costumes joined the elements of ethnic minorities

The hanfu robe you wore is called "贴里 Tieli", a ceremonial robe for members of the royal family and high-ranking officials during the Ming Dynasty(1368―1644). The reason they tell you it was worn by warrior is because "锦衣卫Guards in brocade robes" often wore Tieli in Ming Dynasty royal paintings about ceremony. 锦衣卫 were the royal private guards/secret political polices commanded by eunuchs.
