- Boomer shoots exclusive live accustic footage of one of the 90's best bands BROTHER CANE.
"I was driving and heard on 99.9 The Fox radio station that Brother Cane was going to do an acoustic show at the Fox Rocks store in Surrey. I had tickets for the concert that night at the Town Pump but wanted to see the accustic show. I had only 1 hour to get there so I put the pedal to the metal! When I arrived at the mall, there was a crowd from the store to half way down the mall. I couldn't even get close. So, I put my older style full size VHS video cam that I had brought onto my shoulders and pushed my way through the crowd. They looked up and saw the big camera and figured I was a camera crew I guess. They stepped aside until I was right in the store and right next to the stage! Then, the guy putting on the little show said I needed to ask the band if it was ok to film. I said sure! Now I get to meet the band! I went backstage and chatted with the singer Damon. He said it was cool to film as long as I make the band a copy! So now, they put my name on the backstage list at the Town Pump to come and give them a copy of the video. I ended up partying with the band all night backstage! What a blast! And then I get put on the guest list for the next show on the Island! So, we booked a hotel room and went to party with the band again backstage! Super cool rockers! Видеоклипы
Never forgot first timehearing it late one night on way back to duluth mn first listen loved the groove
God his voice!!!!💙❤🤘
That was some quick thinking. Great story. My wife and I also got to meet them when they opened for Buddy Guy at a club called Bogarts in Cincinnati in May of 1993, the same month their first album was released. After the show, my wife wanted to see if we could get backstage. We got so far and then were stopped by security. Then I heard her say we were from the same town in Alabama as the band. I thought, "Oh no!". The guy says, "Just a second" and goes into the room with the band. He comes back out and says, "Ok". We walk in and the after-party was winding down. Hardly any food left and empty cups and bottles lying around. Damon comes over to me and says, "I hear you guys are from Alabama". I just rolled my eyes, shook my head, and nodded toward my wife (who I married later that year). He laughed and told me about the album that was just coming out. We had a great time talking to those guys. Everyone was in a good mood and very friendly. They impressed me as ambitious, professional, and very serious about their music and careers. They were all sober and clear-headed. Great experience. My wife and I have talked about it often over the years. I was glad to see they have a 30-year reunion tour planned for 2023.
best unplugged period
the dude on right playing guitar is Dave Anderson. He lives and plays in Huntsville Alabama for a living at clubs small venues, with no ego, just another everyday guy making a living,,

Gotta love it when life works out! This is such a cool story of how this footage was captured! Always loved this band....thanks for sharing!!
that's great. miss them for sure.
Such an awesome song and band, so much of their music was good, even if they only made 3 albums. Glad to see this, and I believe the song is called "And Fools Shine On" but either way you're so lucky to have this experience.
It's a Brother Cane song from the album after SEEDS. The intro song is called "Lie in the bed I make" and it kicks ass!
Thanks for watching
this is a killer pair of songs..in acoustic..damn!!! thanks for posting this.
Thanks so much for adding this AWESOME Brother Cane video!!! And for letting me know. I loved this band so much...I wish they were still together. I've been following Damon's career since then and love the stuff he's doing with Whiskey Falls. He's such a talented musician, very underated I think! So thanks again! PEACE!!!! I will be posting some video soon of Damon with Slave to the System! Rock on brother!
From 1995 just when Fools Shine On was huge. Thanks for watching!

Holy shit are they rockin at 7:43! You can feel the power build! With acoustics!
I have a few other songs from the same show I will put up soon. Got no Shame and Voice of Eugena. Thanks for watching!
Me too!!!
I thought it actually was "When fools shine on" so I just put Fools Shine on. Thanks for watching.
This is just my opinion but I think the vocals with this accustic version with Fools Shine On are better than the electric live version.
Damon rocks for sure. Did you know he was playing with Alice Cooper on tour for a bit as well? I have yet to hear any Slave to the System. I'm gonna go and check that out. Thanks.
Boomer
