Quick on the water review of the 2020 St. croix Legend Xtreme rods. Models XFS610MLf and XFC70MF. perhaps I will make a more detailed review in the future.
I went with the xfs68mxf and elected to pair it with the cts3000xgfl. Spooled it with straight 10 pound tatsu. Use it for walleye fishing and couldn't be happier. Great review.
Is the spinning heavy fe long like casting I wanna get a new high end spinning rod this year when ever I go back to work and the virus is gone bulllshit
I have the new Xtreme - same as yours. I also have the same rated Legend Elite. Love the Extreme because I am a stickler on rod balance. The balance point on the Xtreme is over 3" closer to the seat than the Elite. Yes, the Extreme is a couple tenths heavier than the Elite but feels much lighter because of the better balance. I am looking for a deal on the new Metanium but so far the street price is about the same as the Antares 70. Great review and thanks for doing.
Rapalaman Just get a jdm metanium from digitaka or one of those sites. Got my 20 met for just a hair over $300 👌 I think there are a few up on eBay at the moment around that price, too.
I have the 7’1” medium heavy extra fast caster version of the st croix xtreme. Am I limited to only using it with baitcaster reels or can I put a spinning reel on there?
I have both too and honestly I enjoy my Daiwa Tatula Elite AGS rod just as much of not better. Simply because it’s $230 instead of $640 and has basically the same components. If your not a tackle snob like me who only pairs up like brands. No Shimano Reel on Daiwa rods vise versa.

there was never a better reel seat than the old loomis low-rider!it sux they went away from it!
These don't compare to the nrx. I have both.
In my opinion: st croix rods are good. But Kistler rods are better!
Too short.
