When you buy the dice face it is smarter to put it on the lower numbers unless you have a need for for super high numbers
It increases the distance you can travel at minimum

43:04 how are the dice a waste when they literally mean you roll 1 extra tile a turn the whole point of the game is to make distance and improving dice alot gives you loads of distance tiles wont be worth as much but youll have way more tiles.
If you go all in on buffing tiles and not making progress your run dies from lack of energy
