If the process of this video does not work, you need to open the Kindle (open the back cover) and there is a very little button inside (down side) near the power connector that is a hardware reset button. Pressing this button for 10 seconds you can use again your kindle. I had an old Kindle model D00901 without working for two years and again it is working.... :)
See, I just got mine from a garage sale for 2 bucks and it is white, it says it has no power but I keep on trying to charge it with a pirtable charger and it won’t work, any clues or things about it?

Trying resetting it several times like he does in the video. If this fails..... First are you using a lighted cover for the kindle? Older versions of the original Kindle with built-in flashlight cover sold at Amazon interfered with internal circuitry. If this isnt the case then it sounds like the battery is in a completely discharged state, which means it won't hold a charge again. What you'll want to do is call toll-free: 1-866-321-8851. Explain the issue with your Kindle. Also if it's not covered under the warranty. Replacing the battery yourself is pretty easy.
hi there. I have performed the reset and the screen is empty with just a green light at the Base, the screen has not restarted and is still blank. occasionally the green light flashes. any advice?
