Oh yes Elizabeth, me too!
After reading the above, I just had to create an artwork ‘around’ the words. I just wanted to make it ‘mine’, so to speak. Well this is what unfolded. Love the colours. Mixed media at its best!
A friend wrote on my RUclips channel after watching one of my intuitive art videos:
“Yes! "You do what you do in order to stay sane, it's a life line" I know that comparison thing too well, that's why I don't look at IG accounts anymore. You are inspirational, I want to create like you Zetster, I think it will release a lot of accumulative garbage of the past 23 months. I want the freedom to become me, a bit late in life, but who's counting. Many thanks to you. X”
Wow this is so powerful! Our need for ‘THE FREEDOM to become ME’…the me that I was created to BE before this world got a hold of us. And…the awesome truth is; YOU are never to old. The best TIME is always NOW, because NOW is all that we ever have! And that is where we can find THE LIFE (that’s always flowing mightily in us in this moment).

Organizing brings me joy 😊
Love your celery coloured art wall! After 23 months of chaos, I find I need lots of quiet spaces. Listening and watching your blog I have my tiny sketch book to doodle along side, creating an imaginary landscape to colour in.
I found a note book with tons of writing I did in 2022, yet I have no clue what it's about. Since the goal is to find light in the darkness, rest for my overburdened soul, though creating I plan to get the charcoal house paint sample I have and start covering those pages. Covering the past, I will only allow bits of writing to peep through if they cry out to me. This will be my prep for painted surfaces. Who knows, maybe this will evolve in a different way and my plans will be tipped on their heads.
Funny things happen when you stop trying so hard, stop being so tight with your life, strange things happen, new things. It takes practice and I fall back into old patterns continuously, but when I allow myself to be, instead of what I think I should be, I attract something different and new. The good and the bad is our teacher.
Zetster, love your sketch book, look how your art has grown and evolved during the 'now' of Australian tennis. Jan.
