Scott deserves all the love he can get. Athlete/coach/affiliate owner… yeah. He’s a real 1. All the love in the world for that dude. ✌️😎🤙
Scott will forever be a favorite. Those Panchiks are great people.
Taxicab confessions. New series Hiller? I like it!! ❤❤
I really miss the "old" Athletes, like Panchik, Froning, Fraser, Ohlson, Bridges, Bailey, Briggs etc. and the good old Crossfit Time.
Fraser isn’t an OG athlete.
yes, that is true. But I still miss watching him compete@@TimsGym
Started CF in 2011 at 40 years old, still training and have been pretty consistent and very average, 20% decrease in Snatch 1 rep max and 14% decrease in Clean/Jerk over the 12 year time frame now at 52. Hardest part is mentally reducing the weights in the Benchmark workouts in order to complete them in the desired time domain with the correct amount of effort. Man O pause is for real, enjoy the ride and just keep showing up.
Hiller would say “check your T level!”
Y'all got any more of those pep tides?@@RogueCylon
Ditto, huge difference once I hit 55.
I'm 44 years old, and a former regionals athlete. I started CrossFit at 32. My power lifts continue to hit or match PRs, my Olympic lifts have only gone down about 10-15# because I've stopped training them so much, as I no longer compete. I still hit PRs on metcons. I do more bodybuilding style sessions to prevent injuries.
The biggest change has been recovery between high intensity sessions. I have been on TRT since I turned 40.
Its odd how much Hiller knows about twilight.... but has never seen Malibu's most wanted 🤯 This is an awesome video Scott is such a good dude.
No clue these movies are twice my age
@@ramblr5900 twilight came out in 2008 so you are only 8 years old? The most recent one was like 2011 or 2012 which would make you like 6 years old?
@@Therealkevin87 yep, but lots of good movies back in the day
why better than the comic movies today. I movies had swagger. Like breakfast club and ferris b day off.
Questions are on point Hiller! Not boring at all and we learn a lot about Scott we didn’t know!
So many knowledge bombs in this video. At the 26:30 mark is the real deal. Scott is a good dude. I love that he touches on athletes not owning affiliates. I recently re watched the Rogan episode with Fraser. I think there has definitely been a shift. I truly believe and wish the athletes were still immersed in the community like they were in the Froning era. I think it would help us fans get behind them. I could rant on this topic all day. Good work Andrew. Love your content. And your programming.
Scott never disappoints! Always seen him as a role model and top notch dude. Great video Hiller!
Probably one of your best videos to-date.. Great job!! Your interviewing skills are taking off.
Loved this video. I'm almost 67 years old. I used to powerlift when I was younger. Now, the body doesn't keep up with the ego. I have had to learn to lift for longevity rather than ego. It is sometimes hard to stay motivated when you can see the diminishing returns. The band Little Feat had a song called Old Folks' Boogie, that says, "You know you're getting over the hill when your mind makes promises that your body can't fulfill." Now I work out for health and because I enjoy it. Have to look for the little successes to celebrate. Appreciate you and Alexis for helping to keep me inspired.
a Little Feat reference!
Weight training will keep you alive longer. I think the first thing to go is the fast twitch muscles, as I see older folks having trouble with box jumps. But if you focus on that and balance you are ahead of the game.
I hear you brother, started crossfit 2008 sold affiliate 2017 . It’s a little depressing knowing where you were and you can’t go back. I am 63 just retired decided BJJ was my new hobby ( it is fun and bad ass ) huge gym at home crossfit still 4-5 times a week with reduced loads of course.
So basically its impossible to progress? Then whats left? Seems really hard to process mentally but many times sport teaches lessons you can transfer to life i guess.
I love Mat but watching him do those ring muscle ups in the standard killed me.
Felt like I was taking crazy pills when no one was calling those no reps. Glad I wasn’t the only one!
Awesome video! Left me wanting more. Great stuff, brother.
One of your best videos. I have been a fan of Scott's for years, this is a great format, more than just an interview. Hiller, I love that everything reminds you of a movie, the clips are great
Such a fantastic video and insight, more of these with Scott would be unreal!! I’m now an even huger fan of SP!!
It’s always great to see these type of videos and I think anyone with a competitive mindset or just looking to get in shape would all agree we wished we would have started CrossFit earlier for different reasons and purposes. It’s incredible to see such young athletes coming in and making a name for themselves and to Scott’s point, having the knowledge and the philosophy on training years ago would probably have helped many people either learn about CrossFit or choose to begin. For example, I was playing hockey and chose not to do CrossFit thinking it would be too much for me and wasn’t until after college hockey that I started CrossFit to have that competitive atmosphere. But little did I know and not till I experienced CrossFit that it would have helped me tremendously imo!
This brings back memories of the old CFHQ days where they'd spend a day with an athlete and show amazing raw footage. Well done 👏🏼
This is what I was gong for!!!!
Excellent video. Scott was great 👏
That was great. Very candid and insightful.
You should interview Margaux Alvarez, she is involved in a lot of things and owns her own winery (among other things).
Really enjoyed this one, thanks Hiller. Sorry to mess up your metrics, I had to watch it in pieces. But this is great
Great video. Really awesome. Old “day in the life” vibes.
I almost get an office vibe from the camera interview coming in and back out haha
Awesome video! Reminds me of the good ol’ days.
Great content Hiller! I like the interaction.
This is so good. You guys talking like old friends. Definitely new friends at the least
BTS of a legend Scott Panchik
Cant wait to see you today at 10am with Hunter and Jason.
GAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWD DAMNNNNNNN I can't believe you didn't roll with that malibu's most wanted line 😅 Just a couple of dudes bein bros
One of the best dudes in the space.
I can’t believe this is going to be my first comment on your channel…but there are four twilight books lol
Also I love this!
Hahahaha.... Was going to post the same thing but I'm glad you took the Twilight hit :)
So absolutely Love this!!
Scott is a Good Dude!!!!!
easliy some of your best work
Loved this😍
Great athlete, Great video!
Great video felt like an episode Sevan used to do
Great video dude 🦇
I used to work at the Lifetime Fitness cafe and so I could imagine exactly how that went down 😂
Next Dan Bailey?
Andrew, how do you feel about crossfit introducing a 2” pullup bar as a standard for pullups and such at the games
I’m assuming by now you know May Fraser was on the Black Rifle Coffee Company podcast.
Dude, you've not seen Malibu's Most Wanted? That's a great movie.
Not even done watching but amazing video
Hands on the wheel Scott
And I remember seeing Scott on the 2012 after party dance floor! Ha
FYI. Scott chose a better profession than a dancer! Haha
Hiller, next time you drive. Scott is scaring me
So many good knowledge gems in this one. Great interview, would love to see more of this casual style. Waffle House and milkmen optional
The Milkman 🥛or Mylfman? 😂
I’m glad you brought it up!! The comments should be alive with “Milkman” discussion!!! 😂
Milkman merch when?
I have the level of a 2014 female crossfit Games athlete.
I'm a 31 years old man, not ashamed.
Haha the dude just doing his hustle 24:15
I know this is wrong, but the Panchik family reminds me of Derek Zoolander's brothers in the coal mines.
Put your phone down while driving, Panchik!
34:41 threw me for a loop
never drive in the car with someone on their cell phone; someone needed to honk at him
Yo but forreal… what happened to Garret Fischer?
@hillerfit Frasier was on black rifle podcast and goes more indepth. Lots of F bombs un character like?
I watched it too. Pretty decent podcast. But honestly he’s done do many. They all ask the same questions and they’re all the same.
milkman hits, hilarious
Ummm… why didn’t you navigate for him?
Why does scott have a picture of your wife on his phone?😂
O it’s because it’s your phone
41 min video no chance
As much as I like Scott (and I do), I lost like 2-3% respect when he admitted to watching Twilight.
I think I’ve only been in a Waffle House when I’m drunk. Having sugar packet fights. 🤣
first
When he explains that his sugar mama had young kids, he meant she was still breastfeeding. Milkman
Surprisingly, waffle house has a great bowl thats high protein.
Rich quit individual because he knew he would lose to Fraser. He's a guy with a big ego, nothing wrong with that but saying he quit to focus on his family is insane.
Weird because they competed as individuals at the same time and Rich one each time.
It was pre prime Fraser. Rich is smart and knew what was coming. But good point, Fraser almost won at his worst@@monbri9931
@@monbri9931Rich also literally said he quit at 27 (peak physical) because of the mental aspect...also Fraser literally said he was training 2-3 times per week in 2014 when he made 2nd....
But after Rich retired, Mat lost to Ben Smith. Your idea makes zero sense.
I just said that mat was not in his prime.@@ShootTheClubUp42
Late night Waffle House encounters are the best
