Hey all, dev here. Again. Been a while since the last installment, huh. Time sure flies when... you know. I'm currently working on a demo for a Wario-like (trying to get it done for SAGE), so you Yotheads will still have to wait a while for the full version of this wonderful travesty, but I promise it'll probably be worth the wait. It'll have so many references and memes in it you'll wonder if I'm even capable of having an original thought. Also, just for the record, this is (most likely) gonna be the only TTYD-like fight in the game, though it definitely won't be the only one in a different gameplay style.
Out of curiosity, did you build an actual engine for this type of fight or was the entire thing scripted specifically to be a one-off? Cause it was amazing and seems a waste to discard it if you actually made an engine for it.

I originally started making it with the intention of making it into an actual engine, but I've already forgotten enough of how it works that I don't dare make a single change to it in fear that it breaks. At least I got enough experience out of it that if I tried again, I probably could make something resembling an actual engine, so look out for MY Bug Fables, coming 2050.

Haven’t seen anyone say it, so I will. I love the little noises they make when the text scrolls, it’s clearly a second of them talking just cut so fast it sounds like a Banjo-esque blurb.

i really hope this continues development, whoever made this already has the groundwork for the turn based combat and a text system setup and its definitely charming in a very weird way
How is this so well made? I bet they made a pact with the devil to recreate Paper Mario's core mechanics so well... also to find these voice clips. I love this community.

It's disturbing how many random ordinary things are perfectly aligned with the aspects and current events of my life. Seeing this in my feed nearly scared me. Obviously things like this makes no sense to anyone but me, but THIS one will eventually. This is Vinesauce's legacy. . .

Which is really exciting to me cause those tend to be the best meme games. Could be just a place holder though. But also it is implied to be the first fight like this, so maybe.
I'm surprised there was no invocation of the "Jerma raiding Vin in middle of Vin making weird AI Jerma faces", that minute or two would have been a goldmine of soundclips for this.
But Vinny... I thought that Binyot was first conceived from constant mispronunciation of your name by Russians on CS: GO servers and that's how it stuck IIRC.
