TBH, I don't think it deserves the hate, or even "need a lesson in brevity". There are many "meme" games that do nothing. I like this format better; it clearly knows how silly it is, and I love the work put into it.
I think sunday stream chat only wants either of two things: meme vomit, or a game so bad they can completely tear into, and the game lends itself to neither of those. The weekdays vinny chat is usually calmer and things like that random romhack he just played get time to breathe instead of cries of skip pls lol.
The truth is that with this game I wanted to move away from slipping in obvious meme material like Megalovania and Sans imagery, instead trying to come up with more of my own material. When you're a solo developer, it's difficult to tell when your jokes and visual gags are going to be a hit or a miss. I really just go with what I personally would find funny, and that's always been the idea with these games.

Was not expecting to see the sequel of a sequel go from a Luigi's Mansion/Megaman X style of combat to Wario/Megaman Zero style of combat, especially with how the special moves got incorporated into his moveset naturally like Zero in the X/Zero series
