The lyric nature of her voice coupled with the way vocal cords constrict when singing higher, would make it nearly impossible to dance/sing it like it was recorded. If you notice her voice has two distinct timbers/tones, like hard breaks. If you listen to her interviews, when she coo's and utilized a clamer speaking tone/voice its noticeable. There were times in interviews when her voice was totally relaxed, like when shed laugh, and one could hear that weighty/throaty tone. Another singer who was like that was Marvin Gaye. He had the ability to sing high, like a leggiero tenor, and sing the low tenor/baritone (Luther Vandross). He had two distinct voices, with different qualities that could access a full range all its own. She wasn't nearly as developed as she was, but its the same quality.

I was there in college 4 rows back from the stage .now there was other things going but Aaliyah was not on the main stage . What day was it ? I was there for 5 days .
