The visits back up north give your show variety and honestly add to your bonafides as a fisherman.
I think this is a really interesting fishery. I really appreciate how this channel shows different things, and I think your technical understanding of fishing is top notch.
Always look forward to these Finger Lake videos
Thank you. It’s a good time.
MAN I love your videos on this body of water! I rewatched your old ones recently, and it’s still amazing. I’m so excited you’re back up there! Looking forward to more fantastic trout videos.
One of the most beautiful parts of the country and always worth a watch. F the algorithm.
Pretty much
Fresh or salt, there's always something to learn. That's the way I look at it. Your content is always the best.
I absolutely LOVE these Finger Lake episodes! I'm actually on Champlain right now so not far from you, deep jigging lakers. The bite is ON!
I absolutely love the finger lakes vids!
Aww yeah your older finger lakes trips were how I found your channel, good to see more entries
Welcome back to northern Michigan! Nothing like a northern Michigan summer on the water.
I honestly have no idea why people wouldn't like or enjoy fishing, no matter what it is someone is fishing for or catching. It's the experience that's killer! And those Lake Trout are so awesome man.
Thanks, Elias!! Sweet brown!!!🎉 Enjoy the trout videos a ton…can’t beat smoked lake trout, either!!! Sorry about the one that got away…😢.
I love seeing the big browns ❤
Don,t worry to much man, this is great and fun fishing to watch.
Elias doing a solid and dodging all the hot ass weather here in NC
Great to see you, switching from Southeastern saltwater and brackish to finger lakes freshwater. It’s all about versatility.
Great job fishing. I grew up fishing NYC reservoirs, biggest brown was like 8 lbs, a monster for me. Used to go up to Black Lake for pike and other places for musky and walleye. I do miss the reserv. fishing, used to target big white perch suspended w my electronics and minnows. Now it's chasing snook in SW Florida. When I retire I would like a northern fresh lake w a cottage. Keep the fish coming Elias, you are the best. Yes I do believe if you trolled w a Berkley Shad or Juke you could kill them. I def did better trolling early spring when water was 50-60*, could get fish on top in less than 10' of water.
Nice Brown trout!
That’s a great brown trout. Thanks for the video!
Great video as always Elias! Because of your Lake trout videos a trip like this is on my short list for a kayak fishing trip.
I fish anywhere and anyhow I can, but I’m a fly fisherman at heart…and that was a stud brownie.
I hope all is well with you. tight lines.
Some of my favorite videos are the freshwater ones
Fishing for trout on Cayuga is a blast ....
Love the show - grew up in the FL of CNY, mostly catching stream trout and lake bass (Otisco smallmouth and largemouth). Wishing I did more deep lake fishing for browns, rainbows, and lakers!
Dude I watch all your videos 🤙 🤙🤙
Finger lakes have been on my list for a long time. great content!!
such serene fishing on the lake. lake trout = fresh water bluefsh
It’s not for everyone but it sure beats getting tossed around by wakes all day.
Always love your trout videos. Thank you for sharing. I enjoy all your videos but especially like the work you've put out lately
I’ve only fished the canal between Cayuga and Seneca for smallies and largemouth. Now that I have watched this video, my next trip up will include some lake jigging. Thanks for the video and knowledge sharing!
I'm in Lake George right now so going to basically do this same thing tomorrow. Can't wait!
I love the finger lakes stuff when you visit….way more…than seeing you target catfish…that’s the only time I think I have tuned off of your channel!
Nice to see you changing things up. Gotta be honest…the winter Keys stuff is my fav, but I like most all of it….except catfish 😂
Always a pleasure to watch an Elias video! Those are some really nice brown trout! 🎉 Here in Arkansas we've got 2 great rivers for trout of all species! The Little Red has yielded some world class brownies, up in the 40lb range!! Love your fishing knowledge, thanks for letting us tag along on your fishing adventures! God Bless You and Your Family!
Those are monsters wow
Great video, beautiful area of the country, I spent some time at Cornell love the finger lakes.
Great adventure with the trout , we use to fly fish the land locked salmon on lake George .
Thanks for braid along..
Cheers
I enjoy these trout videos. Keep em coming
Thank you
Refreshing weather and no tides to deal with ... might be worth the drive. The cancelation of the NC recreational Flounder season is a bummer for your schedule, and everyone else.
Have never heard of the finger lakes going to have to check it out! After all these fish!
northern end of the lake has some huge lakers this year, almost many salmon, browns and rainbow suspended over 100~200'
Good to know about those suspended fish. Intimidating to go over that 100’ mark jigging for me. Someday I’ll get there. I don’t think my electronics are up for it.
We need more keys video bro ! One of my favorite RUclipsrs !
December for keys. Love that fishing too but that’s when I focus on “algorithm production more”
@@EliasVFishing awesome I’ll the keys videos that’s what got me on your channel ! You kill it with the lures keep pumping the videos out
Interesting!
One of these days I'm gonna have to catch you out there and say hello. I fish Cayuga all the time.
;Nice fishing
This is a nice change of pace from the ocean videos. Looks like fun.
Love when you head up there. I personally I have never eaten Lakers, heard they were greasy? We actually call them greasers around here.
You have heard wrong.
Lakers are delicious.
Been fishing them for over 55 years.
They are better than many saltwater fish people regularly eat imo. If your diet consists of crappie and walleye only that makes sense why they aren’t very good.
👍😎✌
Heading to Erie to slay some walleye !
Erie was rough! Tossed my cookies at 11am then lake calmed down and we limited out! 18 walleye and one really nice yellow perch!
Great video. Awesome Brown!! 👍🏻
Welcome to my home turf!!
I just missed you LOL
Been fishing it hard and doing okay.
Easily mark 150 to 250 Lakers a day, most suspended.
80 to 170 fow from a kayak.
What is your opinion on using scents for Lakers? Which do you use?
Will you ever have the 3/8 Mackinaw back in stock at any time? Looking forward to using them if I can get my hands on some. I do this exact type of fishing up in Maine so I love watching your trout vids!!Great vids as always!! Happy 4th 🍻🎣
Yes - I am developing some new products and stuff that's been sold out has been side tracked. Soon enough all this stuff will be easy and always in stock!
@@EliasVFishing Awsome!! Looking forward 🎣🎣
Was on same spots today we landed a few missed more than we landed bait seemed to be more spread out than usual
My livescope would really struggle to work in that kind of depth in coastal waters. Maybe ultra clean lake water would be different, but it's hard to be sure.
I do wonder if these things also move a bit much too.
Imagine fishing where the fish are big without sharks or gators!!
Pretty much sums a chunk of it up.
Lets goooooo
😂
@@EliasVFishing if it makes ya feel better im a pretty young guy (21) and i get stoked when you post trout videos
Look at all those Chemtrails!
The classic just before sudden storm building or sudden major sunny heat waves. "They aren't real!" Mhm. Clearly. Expansion versus dissipation. That's all I have to say to those folks.
Your killing me man ! I spent two seasons fishing that lake and caught squat ! I appreciate you saying it’s difficult, I’m gonna have to give it another try, is launching out of Taughannock Falls park putting me in the right area ? More north, south, east ? Thanks.
That’s where I fished a good chunk of this video. There’s fish out of any access point in those lakes. Don’t overthink location if you are getting no bites imo. It’s technique at that point.
@@EliasVFishing thank you
If you did the RUclips " let's go ! " , I would definitely unsubscribe. Just saying.
Isn’t this the Guy who had a crack in his Hobie and they didn’t “really” want to help him and Old Town came through with a new Kayak 😂 what a class act
Good to see he’s in an Old Town once again
Do Freshwater fish face any baro trauma?
Some do like bass and perch. Lakers usually release.
@@EliasVFishing Thank you
I just watched the big one get away. I know, nobody believes the stories either. It had to be 🫸‐----‐-----------------------------🫷 this long!
