Absolutely the best pipes and drums IMHO.
I heard the Chicago Policeman’s And Fireman’s playing together at my House a few years ago. It was incredible
Would have love to seen that.
Outstanding
13:23 - Balmoral, used in the funeral scene for the Dark Knight.
AMAZING
These are Chicago's finest.....I assure you. God Bless em all!!
Incredible
Well played boys from a AOH piper
What song is at the beginning
Not sure Michael, as I only filmed it. I'm sure someone reading this shortly will let you know.
I think it's "The Minstral Boy"
The first tune (while they are marching) is Rakes of Mallow.
All very Scottish, Great Highland Bagpipes-Scottish, Tartan kilts-Scottish, Glengarry hats-Scottish, sporrans-Scottish, spatts- Scottish. An American Irish society copying Scottish culture then pretending its Irish seems a bit confused when what you are seeing here is Scottish culture
Although kilts are traditionally associated with Scotland, they are also long-established in Irish culture.
Kilts are worn in both Scotland and Ireland as a symbol of pride and a celebration of their Celtic heritage, yet each country’s kilt has many differences.

@@TeleChannel Kilts in an irish context are very manufactured part of the culture that never really stuck. Irish male dancers used to wear them, but the practice had to be abandoned ,because the dancers were subjected to bullying ,because it was seen as a skirt.Irish pipe bands do wear kilts, but plain colour kilts not tartan. They are county tartans ,but again this is a new thing and they don't bare much relation to either the county crests or the more familar GAA colours which irish people wear to support their counties at gaelic sports gaelic football and hurling.
@@TeleChannel I have looked at the link and its a load of nonsense. 99% of irish people would not know about county tartans. Its a made up marketing ploy for gullible americans and fairplay to them for trying and probably succeeding, but its not really an organic part of irish culture
@@TeleChannel No they're not. The whole phenomenon is from Scottish regiments of the British army. There is nothing Irish about any of this - from head to toe. It is American confusionism.
Just enjoy the show, pal. Chicagoans are a proud lot no matter whether they're Irish or Scottish.
I had no idea there was that many white people left in the Chicago Police Department, this will soon be over😂
Nice performance except, the American flag does not dip for anyone even in a solemn ceremony.
John Noonan why not?
It will always dip for an Irish flag tho my friend remember who built America 😘
I'm confused as to why not, considering that they were performing IN Ireland.
S.G Tradition.
Bagpipes = Scottish. Kilts = Scottish. Sporrans = Scottish. Tartan = Scottish. Not very 'emerald' when it comes down to it :-o

They have the right Irish outfits on💚
@@aislingirish4503 Kilts?
@@smck001 the Irish celts
wore kilts too green tartan nothing Scottish about that emerald Irish are Chicago Irish
@@aislingirish4503 There is nothing Irish about kilts. Or tartan. Or sporans. Or bagpipes. Absolutely nothing. You're welcome to imitate - it is, after all, the sincerest form of flattery. But none of that stuff is remotely Irish.
I love CPD, but I'm thinking the Democrat's you support will make this a band of color.
