For anyone wanting to try the Himi Gouache out... here's a link (hopefully it won't sell out in the first 10 minutes like the watercolor) amzn.to/3oAzqmr
Keanu is one of the best actors and people in general to ever live. Coincidentally you’re one of the kindest artists to live! (Okay, except maybe Bob Ross, nobody can beat Bob Ross)
Omg I’ve been hoping you’d paint Keanu for sooo long!! You should try painting Johnny Silverhand, another one of his characters- I bet he’d look amazing in your art style!
I’ve been watching you for some time now and, I have to say you inspire me so much with your talent and wholesomeness!! I’m going to order some gouache paint after this. Thank you for making these videos!☺️💕
@@ssavaart ohhh my gosh! I’m so happy you saw my comment! I’ve never been replied to by someone I adore so much before. Thank you for making my day!!💕💕
Yep...HIMI is fun & cheap...I have the pastel and regular color sets. I love it...And one reason it is so popular and what makes it so much fun IS, yep, looks like pudding or a sweet creamy dessert or even reminds us of the finger painting cups we may have used as kids. It's all good vibes and fun AND on top of that it's decent paint (but not gonna perform as well or be as archival as artist grade gouache...it's just not. ) And if your work turns out really great, you can always scan it and get prints made! It's a win-win!
Well so basically, Scott, in the fourth movie, he goes into an old art museum in France to kill people. Art is connected to Music, Music is connected to the Beetles, the Beetles are connected to George Harrison, George Harrison is connected to The guitar brand fender, the guitar brand fender is connected to Jimi Hendrix, Jimi Hendrix is connected to Flying V, Flying V’s started getting made in the late 50’s, late 50’s is connected to Picasso’s “La Folie”, “La Folie” is a painting, Gouache is a type of paint, himi makes gouache. So yes, they are actually related. The funny thing is this comment will never be seen lol, also I’m a huge Keanu fan love the piece.
Thanks so much for the upload! I remember watching you paint this it's astonishing as always! I hope you and Donna are doing better after all that's happened, once again gigantic hugs from.... The random fan a few minutes away lol
I was debating whether to work on watercolor or gouache today (I have the exact same set funnily enough) and now that I’ve seen this, I suppose this is my sign to work on gouache today. Thank you for the inspiration!
This might be strange but I really like your approach to content about your art. How you’ll livestream the drawing/painting, with a time limit, and then use that same piece for a short video. Creator burnout is so commonplace, especially with artists who’s process takes a lot of time. And with your amount of output, it’s nice that you have ways to “stretch” a piece and not force yourself to make a new piece every single video, while still adding new commentary so it’s not repetitive .(Plus it gives us folks who don’t really have the opportunity to watch your streams an opportunity to catch up!) Sorry if this is word salad-y 😅
I’d just like to say your shorts have inspired me to start drawing again, and start playing around with new mediums. Recently my love of drawing and art has been depleting due to poor mental health and low energy and motivation levels, but you’ve been popping up a lot in my feed. Watching your content has made me genuinely inspired to draw and improve my craft! I doodled two pictures using random pintrest model pictures as inspiration, and I LOVE how they turned out. You genuinely have inspired me to work hard and pick my love of art back up and work on my art. Thank you for being here for me, your a very lovely creator! ❤️
Man really like watching your stuff they really are great calming things I can just put on and enjoy even if I don’t know anything about painting and something else if you haven’t tried it I recommend trying wood working it’s really relaxing when you get moving with it and start smelling the wood
So beautifully done! I’ll email you to finalize the collab sometime soon, I replied to your comment about a week ago with the idea! Maybe we could settle on a picture to do of the character?
You really inspire me Scott, there is just something about how down to earth and genuine you are. When I became a parent, I temporarily put my art goals on a hold, kids do take up a lot of time, plus how the internet can be so wild! It has intimidated me on many occasions to the point I'm way too nervous to become a content creator. But then there's amazing people like you, and it encourages me. So Thank you 💕
Hi Scott! Im a really big fan of you! Your art is my inspiration. For some reason, whenever Im taking inspo from you, it'll always turn out way better than I'll think! I saw a video where you said that your art is boring! But I don't think so, we don't think so! I had to write a portfolio for my favorite artist for my art class I wrote about you! I love your art!
what they have in common is that they paint the surface with colors. but you know what the difference is? Himi Gouache paints the surface with many colors of the rainbow. but John Wick however paints the surface, with just the color red.
I love the gouache set my parents got me for Christmas a few years ago. I was intimidated at first because I hadn’t tried it before and it was a little difficult to figure out but I love working with it now. I just painted a triceratops yesterday for a deviantart daily challenge and it was so much fun. I love how you can layer them up. :)
Ooooo! I love it! Scott can you please try making art with Graphite Putty! It looks like weird dough, but it's graphite you can shape and draw with. You can even paint with it! I would LOVE to see what you create with it.😄
I absolutely love himi because it gives you so much for so little and they last for a long time I had my 18 set for $18 for like 3 years now and i just recently used all my black, the rest are still fine But it releases the pressure of ruining it with bad attempts by being cheap and lot
I have never tried Himi (I love Holbein gouache more), but many artists that use Himi recommend to spray distilled water at least once in a week to keep the moist, otherwise it starts to get dry and is a pain to revive them. And no, tap water doesn't work because it might attract moss.

Easier medium too, well at least for me because I have very little patience when it comes to doing art lol

I’ve heard so many good things about Keanu Reeves, and I feel like the orange in the painting just helps emulate that, even though it’s of John Wick
