Hey Leila and Laura - Yes - Mikele and Natalie did lose their minds over several of the new Wearingeul inks! Bottles of The Nightingale and The Rose, 1984 and I Am A Cat made their way into our ever expanding ink collections. Ladies, thank you for the shout out!
🎉🎉🎉❤😊😊You are absolutely correct! Mikele lost her mind last weekend and procured both George Orwell 1984 and Nightingale!!! You both know me so well! Keep up the awesome work on your podcast. You both are the BESTEST!☀️
You didn't guess what pen I drew Poe with?!? Surprised Leila didn't gravitate to the Pelikan M805 Ocean Swirl, the Blue Dunes or the Blue O Blue. All gorgeous variations on a theme. Also quite interesting how Laura is so particular about the spelling of Pelikan vs. pelican, but can't seem to differentiate between a bug and a ladybird beetle! Logan showed me how he retrofit the Retro51 at the Pelikan Hub, very clever work! He's found a way to put pretty much any fountain pen ink into a Retro51 cartridge. The hub was a delight, this show was a delight, you both are delightful! Ok I have to work on what rhymes with cephalopod now..
Pronounced "feee-kuh", it's a Swedish tradition, verb and noun, and means coffee and snack, but more than "coffee break", since it is time to replenish, re-energize, restore oneself. We hope this helps. Leila, you look astonishing with less makeup. Refreshing, natural, glowing. Laura, how delightful that in the cooler weather you've emerged from your sports jacket, and are moving more freely. I love this.
Just a silly FYI: Because the word Octopus is GREEK not LATIN in origin (Októpus), the plural is actually octopuses. Just a fun fact for Saturday the 12th.
"Star Child" is a short story about an abandoned infant, son of royalty and a commoner, rescued and raised by a poor woodcutter and his wife. He is so beautiful that he becomes arrogant and a real creep. One day, in addition to having mistreated everyone, he is mean to a poor beggar woman, and he becomes ugly. Boo-hoo! So eventually he heads off to find his "real" parents, gets the brush-off, but eventually discovers that the beggar woman is his mother and a leper is his father, (in disguise, naturally) and he's declare king, is wonderful, and dies. The end.
I completely appreciated all the mentions of fine German engineering in this episode (Pure Perfection)
😁 Thanks, Diane! Heeheeheee
